Monday's Music Moves Me...Names of Places! #IGiveSparkles #MondaysMusicMovesMe #music

Hey, happy Monday evening! I am here to rock some tunes late in the evening with you. I am stepping in and co-hosting for a bit while Callie is out. I hear our other 4M co-host are in limbo too but that does not be we won't be with you eventually. Then, of course, there is our hostess of the mostess Marie, aka Xmas Dolly, who is holding down the fort as always.

Before I get to the music, I have a Spark for you!

~Ronald Dahl

So, I understand we have a spotlight dancer this week, Ellen, who picked a cool theme.  She has picked "Names of Places"!  Example:  Cities, States, places you go or seen... get the idea?  Thanks, Ellen great idea!!!

Let me see...hmm...

First up: This is maybe not exactly what she had in mind but it certainly the first song I have in mind. Let's rock it, shall we?

Next up: I love to travel and go places. Japan is a place I would like to go and see some day. Best yet, I have a friend that lives there! This artist is new to me but I love his vibe.

Next: I am pretty sure I would not do a Safari unless it was strictly photography. However, if I was, I would certainly do it in this place!

One more? Why not!
Finally: As many of you know, I lived in Denver for a few years. I actually miss Colorado as much as I miss my home state of Missouri. I feel no one could sing better about Colorado than John Denver.

Make sure to link up and play along. Peace out...Michelle aka Naila Moon

6 Things I Need Spring Cleaned #writingprompts #MamaKat

You know, Spring is here and people I know either start Spring cleaning or at least think about doing it. I am one of those that tend to do neither.

However, that does not mean that I don't need some stuff done. So, if I could actually afford for someone to do it for me, I would have at least the following 6 things done in no particular order.

  1. My room. I need a complete rehaul and cleaned from top to bottom. I would want clean laundered sheets that have been left outside to soak up fresh air. Some fresh paint and one of those vanilla smelling candles. Fresh flowers, please.
  2. My bathroom. I HATE cleaning the toilet, shower, um...anything!
  3. The entire house windows inside and out. Where I live, mountain dust hits windows like crazy. Who wants to clean windows anyway?
  4. My closet. My closet is such a mess with my Mother's stuff in it, my stuff from moving...aka books and art stuff...and oh yeah, my clothes. For the love of Mike, clean it all out and build me some shelves.
  5. Not so much for me, but for my Mother, clean her office and reorganize it. It is a complete disaster. She keeps saying she is going to get it done but has she?
  6. Clean up and spruce up the outdoor patio and furniture. It seriously may need some help, you know like new pillows, another rose bush. Maybe spray it down too. Can I get a new BBQ pit?
Although I am sure there is much more for this list, I am just plain tired looking at these 6. I will be out back lounging, drinking lemonade or wine or whatever, while you work on Spring cleaning for me.

I thank you.

A-Z Challenge Theme Reveal

As in the past few years, I have taken on the A-Z April challenge. The last 3-4 years I have done double blogs which I intend to do again this year.

Usually, I have not revealed my themes and just left it up to people to find me but this year I have thought, "what the heck!" So, having said all of that, this is my theme reveal post.

I know, I know, get on with it already!

*drum roll*

For this blog: This year I am doing music A-Z. However, I am adding a little twist to them as all of the video/music will be in sign language.

For my other blog, Reading Authors, I will be doing A-Z book reviews. These reviews will mostly be children's books but there will be others. There also may be included some giveaways or spotlights.

So, there you have it!  Hope to see you when I begin the first of April.

Monday's Music Moves Me...Freebie Week #MondaysMusicMovesMe #IGiveSparkles

Hey ya all! I am actually getting here on time for the 4M's! I suppose that is a good thing since I am back co-hosting while Callie is out for a bit. Please put in some good vibes for her. After you listen to my musical selections, follow along with the hop down below.
------------

Before I get to the music though, I started a couple of weeks ago giving out what is called, "sparks" along with McGuffys Reader. Her intent is to start every Monday with an inspirational quote.

-----------------------------------

So, now on to the music. This week it is a freebie week which is always fun to do. I think I am going to stick with the inspirational idea though. So, hang on.

First up: Since this past Saturday was St. Patrick's Day, I got a lot of inspiration with postings on Facebook. I love how Peter Hollins uses his voice to put beautiful and inspirational music together.

Next up: I find a lot of inspiration in just the happiness of people. This song alone makes me happy. What about you?

Finally: I think Lindsey Sterling is one of the most diverse violinists and inspirational players of our time. This songs with John Legend speaks to me.

What inspires you?

Monday's Music Moves Me...Color Me with Music

Good evening folks. Can you imagine that I am THIS late for Monday's Music Moves Me? Not surprised? Ah, well, at least I have arrived to play along with the music train hosted by Xmas Dolly and co-hosts, Cathy, Stacy, and Callie! Link up below to play along all week long!

So, this week, they have an interesting theme of: Color Me with Music. In other words, the song has to have a color in its name at the very least. Check out what I have for you.

First up: This song came up right away when I was thinking of songs. I love this favorite green frog!

Next up: I have always wondered what it would be like to ride in a red Corvette. Prince knew and sang about it!

In fact, he knew about Purple Rain too.

Finally: in a world where there has been too much tension, this song speaks about simply getting along. Two of the best singers, Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder came together to sing this hit

~Happy listening,
