#Review: Electric Pencil Sharpener, 3 sharpness settings #sharpenerimikas

I have mentioned a time or two how much I like to covet office supplies. I always like a good pen, but I always have a handful of pencils at the ready. I use them often to write in my calendar in case I need to make changes.

Using pencils means breakages and the need for a pencil sharpener. I was sent the Imikas Electric Pencil Sharpener and I am one happy gal. I might add, so is my husband as he always uses pencils.

The sharpener is not too large and bulky as other electric sharpeners can be. It also runs on AC adapter of batteries. That is ideal if I would want to take it with me.

The pencils can be sharpened to three kinds of points: blunt, medium, or sharp. I like I nice sharp pencil. It drives me crazy when I cannot get a good sharpness.

The side container easily comes out and is clear so  I know when it is time to empty it.

This is what the company has to say:

  • AMAZING SHARP POINT: Helical Steel blade on this pencil sharpener gives a smooth, uniformly sharp point each time, can be used with hard colored pencils too
  • SAFE TO USE: Safety feature stops the electric pencil sharpener operating if the shaving tray is removed. Great for school pro & for kids
  • MULTIPLE POWER SOURCES: It can be battery operated (4 x AA Batteries not included), AC plug-in (US adapter included), USB cable included
  • ADVANCED FEATURE: Slide switch that allows you to select 3 different sharpness settings: Blunt / Medium / Sharp
  • FAST AND POWERFUL: Unlike bulkier sharpeners this is really compact and fast but just as powerful in getting the job done.

I really like this electric pencil sharpener and  it is the one for me.

Disclosure: I received this item at a discounted percentage off in exchange for my open and honest opinion. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

My Halloween costumes of the past and a song from the crypt! #Halloween #Halloweenmusic

I thought I would share today some Halloween costumes I have worn since 2009. I would share more with you but those photos are lost somewhere.

This was my costume in 2009. Obviously I went as a cat, albeit, a fancy one at that. I even wore a collar and immunization tag that said I was vaccinated for rabies. LOL

The previous year, I went as a nurse. It was the first time I had been to a Halloween Ball. That photo is lost right now.

I am not sure what happened to 2010 and 2011. I am not even sure I dressed up.
Anyway, in 2012 we were in a new apartment and had little trick o' treat-ers. This was the first year that we stayed home. I decided a quick witch would do.

In 2013, I decided to be the breast cancer awareness fairy. My aunt had been suffering for a couple of years. Even though I am wearing black here, when I went out, I was totally in pink from head to toe!

In 2014, we returned to the ball again. This time I decided to go as a little fancier witch. I loved the mask but it itched like crazy.

I should note that I have gone as a witch several times over my life time. The first time I remember, I was about 7. I had the longest hair ever and my Mom teased it out.

This was not an actual costume but it was fun creating it. Other costumes I have worn: clown outfit for Homecoming spirit week in HS, nuns outfit for a play, the bride of Frankenstein, a ghost, Mother Nature (twice), a screen saver, a pumpkin, a monster, and many others.

I have always liked Halloween but for the fun of it and maybe being something I am truly not. My Mom always thought it was important for us to play and that is what Halloween was for us...well, and candy of course.  Halloween was not gory, nor would she allow it ever to have been.

I wish I had many of the photos that were taken of me over the years, it is sad they are gone. However, I hope you enjoyed the few I do have.

Last Week of Halloween Music! It's Monday's Music Time in the Crypt! #Halloween

Welcome back to ye ole' crypt for another blood curling Monday. Every Monday features Monday's Music Moves Me hosted by Xmas Dolly and co-hosted by Stacy, Colette, and moi!

This week our Spotlight dancer is the Boogie Man. Our hostess of the mostess says it is all about Halloween and well, since I have been Halloween-ing all month, that is great for me. So, grab your witchy shoes and hit the old grave yard and let's dance with all of the spooks! The Boogie Man knows how to have a party!

Little joke: What do mummies like listening to on Halloween?

Ready for it?

Wrap music!
bwa ha ha ha

In keeping with my month long Halloween theme, I am sure I have some goodies stirring in the kettle. So, what do I have for my boos and ghouls? Hmm....

First up:Since we are already at the hop and the skeletons have got the party going, why don't we invite the monsters? Not well known for his singing, Bert Convy was better known for his acting and more so for his game show hosting.

Next: They say ( whomever "they" is) that dead men tell no lies. Well, I have it on great authority that actually a dead man knows how to party. At least that is what Oingo Boingo has said.

Finally: The party is really rolling down at the grave yard under the light of the moon. These crazy ghost have started the cha cha. Want to join them?

Well, that is it for another spook-tacular musical feature. Join me the rest of the week as the countdown continues. Happy hauntings.

#Review: #Moderno Vegetable Steamer-Professional Quality

Most people I know enjoy eating vegetables but not overly so. In my case, I happen to love veggies. Yes, I like them out of the can but I also like fresh raw and steamed. Case in point  steamed cauliflower I had last night.

That is why I was very happy to review the Moderno Vegetable Steamer. This stainless steel steamer  is so easy to use. It fits perfectly in my small saucepan and allows ultimate steaming to take place.

The company says that because it is a professional quality steamer, it will not fall apart like others will. Now, that is a plus for me because I have had others and yes, they fell apart because they were flimsy.

Another plus is once I am done with eating my now, wonderfully steamed veggies, it cleans up easy and folds up nicely and rather small. That means to me not much storage is needed which is simply another win for me.

I really like this vegetable steamer and will be making much healthier choices to eat since I have it.

Disclosure: I received this item in exchange for my open and honest review. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

Halloween TV Line-ups! #Halloween

If you are like me, you love the Halloween TV shows every year. I am a couple of days late for one of my favorites but here are some I have seen. Note: All logo images belong to the respectful stations.

One of my favorites. However, I am disappointed they did not include the Halloween Town series and several movies are repeated.

As it turns out, though, that series can be seen on Disney.  Here is the complete Disney Halloween Listings.

Of course if you wanted to go a bit less family friendly, you could always do Syfy listings  or AMC Halloween listings

My all time favorite, of which I missed the first showing, is "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" In case you are wondering, the next showing is on Oct. 29th-8PM EST.

Happy watching!

Back Into The Crypt Again...music! #Halloween #music

Hello, my creepy, ghoulish friends. I have been away from the crypt for a few days trying to play catch up. The little critters, aka my grand-kids, have been keeping me busy too. Their demands sometimes are just incredible. I mean playing in the sand, going down slides, reading books, doing art...it is endless I tell ya. Oh, and I love every minute of it.

However, now that I am back in the crypt, which needs some new cobwebs, I can spin a few terrifying tunes again for you.  Hmm...(moves some pumpkins over)...what do I have here?

This singer obviously enjoyed Halloween. This full length movie which features his dancing and music is just spook-tacular!  The movie is 40 minutes long but worth it!

#Review: #Ozeri Weight Master 400 lbs Digital Bath Scale with BMI and Weight Change Detection

It is not every day that you want to talk about something that weighs you, much less something that weighs BMI too. However, I received this scale called the Weight Master from the great people at Ozeri that does just that and more.

You could be asking right now why am I smiling. Well, it is because of what this scale tells me. If you notice the circle at the top, that is usually where I would find out my weight just like any other scale. This one though does something else, if I have lost weight since the last time I weighed, it will light up green with a down arrow and show me how much I have lost since the last time.
It will, however, light up red with an up arrow if I have gained. Like anyone else, I would not want to see that. In addition, it can tell me my last three recorded weights. This is a win for someone who may need to keep weight gains or losses for a doctor.

There is more! This scale has some really cool functions that others don't. For example, the scale can calculate my BMI (Body Mass Index) for me. This is important as everyone needs to be in a certain range for healthier living.

The Weight Master can hold up to a person who is 400 pounds or less and can automatically recognize up to 5 different people. Is that cool or what?

The functions all show up nicely in that round circle. The scale itself is thin but packs a wallop for functionality.

This is what the company has to say about it:

  • BMI with Weight Change Detection Technology -- Instantly displays your BMI (Body Mass Index), current weight, and your net weight change since your most recent weigh-in, last 3 and 7 weigh-ins.
    • Accurate Weight Tracking with 7 Day Memory -- By measuring your weight once a day, the Ozeri WeightMaster empowers you to see how your weight changes from the previous day, the last 3 days and the previous week.
    • Smart LCD with Color Alert Technology - allows you to focus on your weight trend instead of the actual numbers by displaying your weight change in color, with a GREEN illumination for weight loss and RED illumination for weight gain.
    • Immediate and Flawless Results -- Performs and displays all calculations on the scale's LCD without complicated syncing or data connection failures common to more expensive wireless and Bluetooth alternatives.
    • Quality Construction with Built-in Intelligence -- Weighs up to 400 lbs with auto-recognition technology for 5 unique users. Auto-calibrates with StepOn technology. Made out of impact-resistant glass, and equipped with non-slip scratch-resistant feet.

You simply cannot go wrong with this one! Thank you, Ozeri!

Disclosure: I received this item in exchange for my open and honest review. The views exchanged here are 100 % my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon
