HAPPY #HALLOWEEN 2016...Monday's Music Moves Me

Hello Boils and Ghouls! It is finally here...HALLOWEEN! As you know, I have been trying my best to be your Crypt Keeper for several years now. This year, I must have run into too many spider webs and got all wrapped up. I simply did not do well, but still, loved following along with you.

Today also happens to be Monday which of course means...MUSIC! I do have an announcement though. Today is my last day as co-hostess for Monday's Music Moves Me. I have loved co-hosting with Stacy and Callie and of course our hostess of the mostess, Marie. However, this month, I was hired full time at Goodwill Industries and also part time as VA for another one of our fabulous bloggers. Something has to give for me and that is my co-hosting duties with 4M's. I no longer have the time to get around to everyone every week and I feel that is unfair to all of you that come back week after week. Never fret, I will certainly be around but just maybe not always.

So, having said all of that...let's dance! As it is Halloween, I am sure you know what the theme is this week. Let's go get that bone chillin' music!

First up: Speaking of bones...

Next up: How about some ghost?

Next: One Dr. Jekyl?

Next: How about some magic?

Finally: We need some ghost busting around here!

Happy Halloween...Your Crypt Keeper, Naila Moon

Brooklyn Bean Roastery's Breakfast Blend Decaf Single Cup Coffee

My Mother loves to have coffee throughout the day. She especially likes to visit with friends and have a cup of coffee while she chats away. The type of coffee she prefers though, is decaf coffee.
She does not like having all that caffeine so many others love.

That is why it was great that I received the Brooklyn Bean Roastery's Breakfast Blend single cup coffee. My Mother was practically jumping up and down to try this out. I hoped she would not break a hip before she got a cup out of her Keurig.

Mom took a drink and said, " There is such a smoothness with this coffee. It doesn't have the real strong flavor and is a lighter coffee but is blended well enough it taste like real coffee."

Wow, I don't think you can get a better testament than that! I mean seriously, Mom's know their coffee and my Mom knows her decaf!

So, what are you waiting for? Go get you a 40 count box of Breakfast Blend Decaf and start your morning out right. Take it and share with friends at your own coffee clutch, You cannot go wrong!

Disclosure: I received a 40 count box of this product for review. The opinions stated here are 100% my own or that of my family. The views may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

#Halloween Countdown Number 10 and Monday's Music Moves Me

Hey! Apparently, I got stuck in a corn maze for 5 days and couldn't find my way out.
I got abducted by aliens in a haunted house and they kept me for 5 days.
I was trying on my Halloween costume and could not get it over my head for 5 days

Yeah, all of those excuses as to why I have not blogged for 5 days works. Sure it does. You believe me, right?

So, today is Monday's Music Moves Me and since I had pumpkin goo on my hands, I am late in posting.  I shall just get right into it and delay no further. Thank goodness today is a freebie day!

I, like others, have this fascination with zombies. I am in no mood to meet one and have them eat my brains or worse, have to kill one but still...fascination.
One of the most well known cult zombie movies is this one, Night of the Living Dead.

A band that apparently loves the movie decided to base a song from the movie. I love the beat of it.
The band is called: Sek and the tune Living Dead Beats!

I am not sure you have ever seen the Creepshow but I have a little bit. This song was featured on that show and I think it is a good one. This version is from The Rockin' Monsters and the tune is, Zombie Ate Her Brains!

That's it for now. See ya soon my ghoulish friends!

#Halloween Countdown Day 5: #Movies

My ghoulish friends, I am your hostess and crypt keeper, here to share with you Halloween movies this month. Today I wish to share with you a more classical one.

This movie actually produced spin offs and is also one of the most repeated of movie versions for Halloween movies. In fact, I just watched the movie, Frankenstein, the other night.

Frankenstein is taken from the book by Mary Shelley in 1818, called  Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. The original monster had no name, as it did not in the film, but only took on the name of his creator in later films.

From this film, was the Bride of Frankenstein, which was good but I was disappointed at the ending. Then came The Son of Frankenstein which was also good and more of a surprise ending.

A spin off by Mel Brooks was a tongue in cheek called Young Frankenstein which starred, Gene Wilder. This movie was actually based upon all of the Boris Karloff Frankenstein movies.

A must watch for all Halloween fans!

Monday's Music Moves Me...#Elvis Week! #Halloween #music #movies 3/31

Hello my musical ghoulish friends. It is the first Monday of the month and if you have been following me at all, you know I rock out with Halloween in October. This month I am paying homage to all those boo-ti-ful movies of Halloween BUT I always stop to play some spook-tacular music for none other than Monday's Music Moves Me.

So, how do I combine the two. Hmm...

This week, we happen to have a theme picked by a mysterious Spotlight Dancer. Oooo....That is intriguing! This person wants to hear Elvis so, Elvis that person will get. NOTE: I have taken a bit of liberties with the theme this week. bwa ha ha ha

First for the movie. I am sure most of Halloween aficionados would not consider this a "Halloween" movie. However, in this movie Elvis finds himself on a hunt for a treasure map with a new love. Where else would this map be but in a ghost town where some pretty spooky things are happening.

This works for me so, let's go with it...shall we?

Song from the movie:

Finally: A conglomerate of Elvis songs for Halloween. (chuckles)

Make sure to link up your music below...Your Crypt Keeper, Naila Moon

#Halloween #Movie Countdown Day 2 #CryptKeeper

Hello Boils and Ghouls. Today is day two of my creepy adventure countdown to Halloween.
As I mentioned yesterday, I am showcasing Halloween movies. Some will be truly scary and others, not so much.

Today's movie goes on the not so much side but is one of my favorites of the season. Featuring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, Hocus Pocus is a family favorite. We have watched it every year since it came out in 1993 and never tire of it.

I think one of my favorite parts of the movie is when the sing and put a spell on the Halloween goers making them dance forever. I also love the cameo of Garry and Penny Marshall.

After three centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches' reign of terror once and for all.

Until next time...Your Crypt Keeper.

HAPPY OCTOBER...The Crypt Keeper Is Back! Day 1/31

Hello Boils and Ghouls...I am back this year as your wonderfully, creepy, hostess and Crypt Keeper all of October. This year I have made quite the switch up as I am going to do movies for this month. I will be sharing them with you and hope you comment and join in with me.

Also, I decided this year to review mostly Halloween books on my blog, Reading Authors. I will be having some spook-tacular books there for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to come over and say BOO!

Now, on to the movie for today.

Since it is day one and the original Crypt Keeper tends to lend his name for this month, I thought it only appropriate to share him. I will point out that I adored the TV series of Tales From the Crypt but this is nothing like it.

From Wikipedia:

Tales from the Crypt is a 1972 British horror film, directed by Freddie Francis. It is an anthology film consisting of five separate segments, based on stories from EC Comics. Only two of the stories, however, are actually from EC's Tales from the Crypt. The reason for this, according to Creepy founding editor Russ Jones, is that producer Milton Subotsky did not own a run of the original EC comic book but instead adapted the movie from the two paperback reprints given to him by Jones. The movie was one of many Amicus horror anthologies made during the 1970s and features an all star cast, including Joan CollinsPeter CushingRichard Greene, and Roy Dotrice, with Ralph Richardson as the Crypt Keeper.
Five strangers go with a tourist group to view old catacombs. They do not realise that they are all dead. Separated from the main group, they find themselves in a room with the mysterious Crypt Keeper (Ralph Richardson), who details how each of the strangers have died.

Until next time...Keep it creepy!
