My ghoulish friends, I am your hostess and crypt keeper, here to share with you Halloween movies this month. Today I wish to share with you a more classical one.
This movie actually produced spin offs and is also one of the most repeated of movie versions for Halloween movies. In fact, I just watched the movie, Frankenstein, the other night.
Frankenstein is taken from the book by Mary Shelley in 1818, called Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. The original monster had no name, as it did not in the film, but only took on the name of his creator in later films.
From this film, was the Bride of Frankenstein, which was good but I was disappointed at the ending. Then came The Son of Frankenstein which was also good and more of a surprise ending.
A spin off by Mel Brooks was a tongue in cheek called Young Frankenstein which starred, Gene Wilder. This movie was actually based upon all of the Boris Karloff Frankenstein movies.
A must watch for all Halloween fans!

There was one from the 70s that was outrageous. It was called Frankenstein: The True Story. I'm not sure if it was a made for TV movie or actually in theaters, but we all watched it on late night TV. Here's the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fx83SjnHxBo
