WHOO HOO...We made it! It is time to go grab some candy and put on your best costume because Halloween is here. I will be going to a party tonight so, I will post some pictures tomorrow. Until then...
Oh my ghouls! It is just one day away until "The Great Pumpkin" or "The Pumpkin King" comes. Are you giddy about it? Do you have your candy ready? Costume?
Well, if not, you still have a little time. Until then, let's lay down some more monster tracks and enjoy a bit of boo-gie! I promised I would make up for missing 10 days so here it is...
Let's start with the boils and ghouls hitting the dance floor.
Next up: This one is for my Crypt Keeper friend, Xmas Dolly.
Booo!!! I bet you think I forgot about you. I didn't, life just got in the way. Here I am though to finish up this fantastic month of spooky music and Halloween mayhem.
Since I have been gone a few days, I will make it up to you for the next three days. I do have some goodies ya know.
Let's start off with this: It is a new song from Peter Hollens. A great mashup. I love him ya know!
This next one is also from him. I told ya, I love him! This is from the cast of "Wicked". It is not spooky in the least but a nice Halloween themed song.
This next one is from one of my favorite crooners, Frank Sinatra.
This last one is a jazzy-blues version of this song that is just simply awesome for the season. I love Nina Simone's voice so much.
I am making a slide to the right today so I can share this epic Halloween video I came across. The singer, Peter Hollens is well known for his musical interludes. However, this time, he has come up with something spookily good!
This is his mash up of what he calls, "Epic Halloween Medley".
I am finishing up this week with my homage to the vampires. It is not unknown that vampires are associated with the love of blood. As gross as that may sound.
Here is a song that speaks of bloodletting. This first song I am sharing with you is a new group to me but I love this driving beat throughout the whole song. The guitar entrance is fantastic!
This final song of the week is on a softer note. It is a one hour compilation of the darker aspects of vampires. It speaks of the emotions of being gothic and the Victorian eras of living a life of a vampire. It is beautiful as well as seductive.
Join me Saturday as I begin a new homage to the witches.
Imagine seeing a dark castles upon a hillside and you here lively waltz music coming from the inside. You cannot help yourself but follow the music and be drawn to the dim lights that afford lighting among the steep steps to the castle. The moon is full and gorgeous against the night sky.
You arrive and see many a people in dark and glorious costume and the guest are sweeping along the crowds that are watching and waiting their turn. A handsome and darkly figured man hold out his hand to take you to the dance floor. You do not resist because his black eyes burrow into you.
As you begin to dance, it is only then that you see his white-polished, sharp, teeth. You cannot run because you have just fallen into the trap of the vampire's waltz. You are smitten.
If you caught my posting yesterday, I am paying homage to the blood-sucking creatures of the night, vampires. I am actually astonished at the number of song related to them.
It is Monday and that means Xmas Dolly (also a Crypt Keeper) and her 4M crew are spinning some fabulous tunes. They have a theme this time which is: Going on a journey. Make sure you link up below. I will now attempt to incorporate that into Halloween style.
This week I am paying homage to those blood-sucking, creatures of the night, vampires. They do loads of traveling over the course of days, years, decades, and centuries. Let' see what I have to take a bite out of this Monday's music.
Nyctophobia is a phobia characterized by a severe fear of the dark. It is triggered by the brain's disfigured perception of what would, or could happen when in a dark environment.
Would you go through the cemetery in the dark? Your Crypt Keeper, Michelle

So, I will get better. At least I will try. Let's tidy up this crypt and get back into the spooky groove, shall we?
Hello my spooktacular friends and welcome to my crypt! October is here and this is Day 1 to my countdown that ultimate spooky day of Halloween. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, I will be posting spooky music for your listening pleasure.
I will probably only post one song a day with the exception of Mondays because that is reserved for the Mondays Music friends. Join me won't you?
Don't forget to check out my other blogs too this month. You can find links to them on the sidebar.
Since I am an official Crypt Keeper, I thought I should start off with a classic. This song is sung and produced by none other than than "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt Kickers! *wink*
