Monday's Music Moves Me...Water! 6/22/15 #MondaysMusicMovesMe

Hey, it is the second official day of Summer and everything is fine. By now many of us, like myself have hit the beaches or the pool or if nothing else, a cool bath. HA!

Anyway, it is Monday and that means we gals here at the 4M's are hitting the dance floor with  more music and fun. This week we have a theme which is all about water! Seems logical to me since the Summer sun has been bearing down lately.  Let's see what I have for you.

First up: This song was incorporated into the movie, "Brother, Where Art Thou" and "sung by the people to get baptized in the river.  The song is actually sung by Allison Krauss I loved the movie and the song too!

Next up: Let's take a totally different perspective of water. This time Van Halen talks about being on the edge.

Let's keep it movin' with the next song by: Linda Ronstadt who did this cover of Roy Orbison's hit that talks about a lover left in the Bayou.

Final song for the today: The Beatles. This song was John Lennon's response to people complaining about the weather.

Michelle, first off for some odd reason if I hover my cursor over your post text it changes the font color, like everything is a link. It drove my eyes crazy trying to read, too. lol I guess you have the text mixed in with your video embedded code.

Let's Go to the River to Pray is one of my favorite songs from the movie, O' Brother Where Art Thou. Growing up in southern WV this is the way folks were baptized when I was young. It didn't matter what time of year it was, either. Those old days beside the river watching someone going under the water is really spiritual to see. It's a bit different than to be inside a modern church. I think the river is just a more humble place, but I really wouldn't want to be baptized in one today ~ too nasty. Anywho, I love your choices this morning. Thanks for the dance, my friend!
