Back to the 1980's on Monday's Music Moves Me 7/20/15 #MondaysMusicMovesMe

Hey everyone! I am sliding in here for a quick 4M's post. I know I have been mostly MIA lately but things just seem a bit crazy this month. I am sure things will get back to semi-normal soon.

Anyway, I am glad you are here as all of the 4M gals are. Today's music is about the '80s of which I was a teen. However, today has a twist too. We are to post at least one funny song of the era as well. This should be interesting. Let's go!

First up: I am sure many people will pick this guy from the 1980's as one of the funniest. Heck he still imitates artist to this day. I loved his imitations of Michael Jackson.

Next up: Of course the 1980's was the MTV generation...that is when MTV was actually a music video station. Some of the best music and best musical videos were introduced and presented on that station. There were also some of the weirdest videos ever. Like this one...

Moving on: Of course the 1980's was filled with hair bands too and weird dressing. They sang about everything and yes, some of them were a bit weird. Take this one for example...What is with the eye patch?

This last one goes on the weird list too but yes, I listened to it as well.

/Freebie Week On Monday's Music Moves Me...7/13/15 #MondaysMusicMovesMe

Hi Ya' All! This weekend has been filled with seeing more family and still hanging out with my Mom. It has rained every...single...freaking...day here and we have not been to the beach yet. The water is way to high and in several areas we have had nothing but flood. At least where I am we are in good shape, except my daughter's basement is slightly flooding. Oy!

Anyway, it is a new week and of course a new round of music is just what we need. You know us here at the 4M's don't you by now? Lead by the dancing Queen Xmas Dolly, and co-hosted by the lovely ladies of Callie, Stacy and oh yes, me!  This week is sans theme so, let me see what I have for you this week.

First up: Friday of this past week, we went to see my second cousin perform in the World Finals Dance Competition. It was the first time I had seen her dance. She and her group were amazing! I had asked my Mom what song I should post and this was the first one she chose. So, this is for my Mom and my cousin, B.

Next up: This song is not new to me per se but I like that the girl breaks free from the hum drum of life. She wants to stay young. Ah, a dream...perhaps so but still...we can dream and pretend we are young. As my Mom says, "Age is a state of mind."

Finally: In May of this year, the music world lost a Blues legend in B.B. King. His music was known throughout. For some reason, I let it slip through my fingers to pay homage to him. I intend to correct that right now. I loved his sound and man, could he play that guitar. Let's let the "Good Time Roll" on outta here with the incomparable, B.B. King!

Monday's Music Moves Me...Hi Ya All #MondaysMusicMovesMe #Branson #CountryMusic

Hi Ya all from Branson. Did you have a nice weekend? I enjoyed time with my family and yesterday one of my cousins came in. I have not seen her in 3 years! My Mom comes in to town on Tuesday, I have not seen her since Thanksgiving, and I get to see another cousin, two Uncles, and two Aunts next weekend. I am one happy camper right now.

So, it is Monday and that means music! This week our co-hostess of the most-ess (LOL), Stacy has decided we need to "country" up the place. Well, I can do that for sure! I mean seriously, I live in Branson which lately has been called the number 2 country capital right next to Nashville.

I got my boot-scootin' boots on and ready to hit the dance floor with Stacy along with our awesome host, Xmas Dolly and my other co-host, the always fabulous, Callie! Let's go!

First up: I got some boot scootin' to do with this fine duo.

Next up: This girl just never quits with the hits since she became an all-star from her club days.

Moving on: This gal has been a favorite of mine before she got into acting and even now after the acting. She also just happens to be Kelly Clarkson's Mother-in-law! (WARNING: Possible triggers and may not want to have children in room)

Next: Lately, I have been thinking about this singer and the songs he sung. He was all about country and living the life.

Finally: As a nod to the folks here in Branson, This company of singers known as the Baldnobbers, has been performing here for 56 years now. My grandparents used to go to their shows and loved them. They were one of the first groups here to establish Branson which had been called, "Little Nashville".  I am saying howdy ya all and have a good week!
