Monday's Music Moves Me.........Retro 50's and 80's Music #MondaysMusicMovesMe
Hello my fellow musical people. It is time for Monday's Music Moves Me and we our having a theme week picked by our Spotlight Dancer, Michael G. He has chosen late 50's and 60's music. I can do that!
You know the music crew, right? There is the conductor-Xmas Dolly and co-conductors, Stacy, Colette, and myself. We are ready to rock this theme and dance to our hearts content. Let's go!
Don't forget to link up!
Before I do that, I want to give a shout out to "Music Dude" Dave Moody. Yeah, the same guy married to Xmas Dolly! It is his birthday today. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!
-------------------------
Ok, now music. I am going to start with the 1950's because it is considered the real start of rock 'n roll.
What better song to start off with that one from the King of Rock...Elvis Presley! From 1956.
Next up: Rock 'n roll saw the rise of many stars. One of the more controversial was Jerry Lee Lewis who first recorded this song in 1957. Can you imagine seeing a piano on fire? *wink*
Moving on into the 1960's rock 'n roll still was reigning supreme but country and R & B was hot too. Great groups came out of the era which of course included the likes of The Mamas and The Poppas. The Monkees, The Supremes, and The Beatles, just to name a few.
One funky group that came out of the later 60's was the hippie group called Steppenwolf. One of their more famous songs is "Magic Carpet Ride."
Finally on this retro ride, as the English invasion progressed, one band, The Troggs had a mega-hit with their song, "Wild Thing". To me, this is one of those stand on your couch and belt it out tunes.
Well, as I wrap this up, the best thing that came out of the late 1960's was...me! *chuckles* I always thought I was born a little late and should have been a flower child. *laughs again*
Hope you liked the music. Link up! ~M. M. aka Naila Moon

Giveaway #teentitans #movies
This follow-up to the popular "Teen Titans" series takes a more comedic look at the superheroes, showing what life is like for the teens when their capes come off. Funny things happen to Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg between saving the world and being regular teens, living together without adult supervision. The teens, in their ordinary lives, deal with the everyday issues of adolescence that include such important things as having staring contests to determine who does the laundry and going on a series of quests to construct the perfect sandwich. But, of course, the heroes still fight crime in Jump City when the need arises. Whatever the situation, they're always ready for an adventure -- inside the house or out of it.
"Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is delighted to release of Teen Titans Go!: Eat. Dance. Punch! Season 3 Part 1 on DVD," said Mary Ellen Thomas, WBHE Vice President, Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. "Fans can get excited about yet another installment of the ever-popular Teen Titans Go! animated series."

#Review: ViisLiam Deluxe 4-in-1 LED Flashlight
I have reviewed a few flashlights over the years but I have to say, the ViisLiam Deluxe 4-in-1 LED Flashlight beats them all! This is not only a flashlight but a work light and emergency light too!
First of all, as you can see, this sweet item is not at all little. In fact, it measures 9 inches long. Whoa! It takes 3AAA batteries which was not included but that was not a deal breaker for me.
This has a button in the middle that allows me to change light for what I need it for. The first is a regular flashlight type light but it is bright and the light can beam a long way.
With just another push of the button, the light then changes to the middle for LED light. I warn you not to look at the flashlight when you change it to these because it will burn your eyes. It is that bright! This would be good if you need to work on your car or in a darker area. I would even recommend it for a camping light. It is bright, if not brighter light as the end.
The last push of the button, is a red flashing light. This shows up in the middle and again is bright enough to be seen. There is no doubt that that feature could be used if there is need for an emergency or to get someone's attention.
I really like this flashlight and I just may have to get another one because this one went in the car. I think I need one in the house too! Go get you one or two, you cannot go wrong with it!
Disclosure: I purchased this item and a deeply discounted price. The review here is 100% my own and may not reflect yours. ~Naila Moon

#Review: EatSmart Precision 550 Bathroom Scale #EatSmartScale
I have reviewed a few scales over that last couple of years and liked them. So, you might be asking, what makes the EatSmart Precision 550 one different from others? Let me tell you!
First of all, this scale is a bit wider than the usual sized scales, this is good for those like me that have big feet or for those who need a bit more balance. It gives me the room all the way around.
Next, the scale is made for people that have a bit of "fluff" on them, in fact, it goes all the way up to hold a person who is 550lbs. Thank goodness I do not weight that much but if you did and need to see weight loss, then this is the scale for you. The only irritant I see is the box with the extremely skinny person on it but I suppose, that is just me.
The scale itself is a thin metal material but again, do not let that fool you because it can hold the ton-age. There are four footings on the bottom that make the scale steady. I am sure that you could use the scale on a shorter carpet but I prefer the hardwood or tile so, that is what I tried it out on.
The numbers show up nicely in black on a blue background. They are large enough to see so that I could not possibly miss them. The only thing I did notice is the company said that after you stepped off, the numbers would continue to show for a few seconds. This did not happen for me but it was also not a deal breaker. I don't think I want someone coming up behind me and seeing how much I weigh.
The scale does take 3 AAA batteries which for once, actually came with the product I was reviewing. I appreciated that, but I do say that they are also cheap batteries so, you will probably want to get better batteries for long term use.
Overall, this is a nice scale to have and glad it is in my home. This gets a 5 star from me.

#Purex Plus Clorox 2 Stainfighter-Removes 100 Stains! #Giveaway for #Coupon! #PurexPlusClorox2 #SocialInsiders
Disclosure: The Purex® brand provided me with a sample of Purex® plus Clorox 2® detergent in exchange for a product review. However all the opinions expressed here are my own.
Just this past week, I came home from being gone for 6 weeks. Now, I did not come home with 6 weeks worth of laundry but I did come home with enough dirty laundry to fill a small basket. While I was away, I was lucky enough to have received a free full-sized sample of a new Purex with Clorox2 in it. Heck, I used it while I was away. This should tell you have much I like the brand.
This new Purex fights 100 stains. Yes, you read that right, 100! This is a good thing for me as I have a tendency to drop food and drink right on the ole' shelf. You know what I mean? Inevitably, it happens.
Actually, for a long time, it happened so often, that a friend of mine nicknamed me, "Spot."
I took his nickname in stride but I do not have to take stains in stride. It works! Case in point, I had dropped some salad dressing on my shirt. I rubbed a little of the Purex with Clorox2 in it and let it set a couple of minutes before putting it in the wash. BAM, it was gone! So, what is the toughest stain you have ever had to get out of some article of clothing? Did it come out?
Would you like to try Purex with Clorox2 for yourself? You would? Good!
I am giving away two coupons of the product to two of my lucky readers to get it for free. All you have to do is enter below for your chance. Good luck and happy washing!

Monday's Music Moves Me...It's Freebie Week! #MondaysMusicMovesMe
Hello my fellow musical people. It is time for Monday's Music Moves Me and we our sans theme. Yep, that is right, it is freebie week which means we can all spin the tunes we want each other to hear. Or it could mean that we are simply trying to get that one song out of our brain. In any case, let's go!
You know the music crew, right? There is the conductor-Xmas Dolly and co-conductors, Stacy, Colette, and myself. We are ready to rock this music train. Hop aboard!
This week for me is going to be just an eclectic mix. Have fun with it!
First up: I recently saw this singer with his wife, who happens to be Nicole Kidman, in a car singing to her while he video taped. I did not realize it was actually his song until, I looked it up. I love it! Here is Keith Urban with the song, "The Fighter", it features Carrie Underwood.
Here is the cute one he did with and for Nicole Kidman.
This next one is by request from Facebook. My friend, Arianna, wanted to hear a song she has been listening to for awhile. This particular song has been done by several artist including most recently, Adele. I decided to play for you this sweet version by Garth Brooks. Here is the song, " To Make You Feel My Love"
This final one this week is also by request from Facebook. A gal who follows me, requested I play, " A Prayer" by the group Duran Duran. Now, of course being an 80's gal, I have heard of the group but amazingly, never this song. So, it is new to me!
That's it for this week folks! Link up and hop around. Let's have some fun out there and dance! ~Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me Theme Week is...You Choose! #MondaysMusicMovesMe
Hello everybody! Welcome back to Monday's Music Moves Me. I am going to make this a brief post because I am feeling yucky this last few days. So, let's just move right on to it.
This week our Spotlight Dancer, Steve, decided that we should just go with the flow and have another freebie week. Now, we do not like to disappoint our Spotlighters so, that is what we will do!
I thought that I would share some music from past American Idol winners. This year is the last season for the show. There have been some amazing artist that have come from it.
For example: Fantasia. She is such a powerhouse. Here she sings the last song before her win.
One of the Idol winners I actually loved, is Taylor Hicks. Many people thought he shouldn't have won but his blues-y harmonic sound did it for me.
Finally, although I have loved many of the performers, I will share this last winner, David Cook. He is a fantastic performer and although this is his winning song for Idol, it really did not do his talent justice. It starts around 3 minutes.
So, that is it for this week. Maybe I will share more AI performers next week. You never know what I have up my sleeve. Link up! ~Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me...Let's Rock It With Freebies!
It is the first Monday in May, so that means...more music! YES! It is Monday's Music Moves Me, hosted by Xmas Dolly, Stacy, Colette, and of course, yours truly. This week we have a freebie week. Let's rock the joint!
First up: This song has been running through my head this week. So, that means share it with you! I love Neil Diamond! Several years ago, I was in a Summer show choir that sang all the songs from, "The Jazz Singer." This song was sung by a duo that did the song justice.
Next: I have always been a fan of Billy Joel. I loved his music when he was young and I love it now that he is...um...older. This song was a request from a friend.
Last:This week I am visiting my children. When I moved, I had to leave my extensive album collection and stereo. I used to love playing records, they just had a different sound to them. For some reason, Bob Seger reminds me to play them. *wink* PS>I wish I could somehow get them on the plane with me.
Don't forget to link up! ~Naila Moon
