#VaselineBrand Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion #Review #VoxBox @Influenster @VaselineBrand
When late fall and the winter months hit here in Colorado my skin begins to tell me that it is not happy. What, you didn't know skin talked? Well, in a sense, it does by becoming very itchy. Not just a tiny bit itchy either. Oh no, we are talking sandpaper here. At times it can be miserable and my legs and arms will often have white scratch marks. See them here?
Believe me, I have tried just about every brand of lotion known to human beings. So when I was sent the Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion from Influenster a week or two ago, I figured what the heck, it certainly can't hurt.
The first thing I noticed was right on the bottle it says will improve dry skin within 5 days. This I had to see. Also it said fragrance free which is a nice thing too. I absolutely hate sometimes getting on public transportation and getting hit with all the smells of perfumes, aftershave, and lotions. Gack!
I also do not want to smell like a perfume shop either so this is a plus.
So, I tried it on my legs (as you see above), my arms, and hands. Within literally seconds there was a marked improvement. See the red lines, that is where the lotion was already helping to heal my skin. Wow!

As I said, I having been using it now and my skin feels smooth and much better. I still have a bit of itchiness but over time, I am sure that will go completely away.
Thanks Vaseline and Influenster for a great product!

#MondaysMusicMovesMe...Freebie week 11/9/14
November is here and we here in the U.S. will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks. My Mom is coming and that will be nice since I have not celebrated this holiday with any extended family in a long time.
Being thankful is something I try to do every day, even if it is just a small thing.
So, having said that, welcome back to another Monday's Music Moves Me. I am grateful for each and everyone of you that comes to hang out with me on the dance floor.
----------------------
This week we have a freebie week and it seems I am feeling not only grateful but a bit sentimental, so let me see what I have up my sleeve.

"Dona Nobis Pacem" (Grant us peace)...One World, One Voice, One Thought...PEACE
| The word peace in 100 different languages. |
Today is the day I gather with others from all over the world to have one voice, one thought process, for a simple word...PEACE. I have gathered with others to blog about peace three times now and yet, our world is in turmoil.
The theme peace seems so simple. I have blogged before that it has to start at home first and work outward. More importantly it has to start within our heart. If we do not have peace of heart, then how can we work for a global peace?
The question is, have I done this since the last time I wrote about this word? Have I taken peace into my own hands and worked to make it happen? What is enough?
The truth is, I have failed. I have often let my own ego interfere when I could have created a peaceful atmosphere. I have held grudges. I have harbored hatred. Yes, I failed and I failed miserably.
However, does that mean there is no hope?
No!
It means I can begin again. I can embrace making my life...our life...a world where there is no war, no violence, no hatred. It means that our generations can grow up and enjoy a peacefulness that is not only within but around them. It means compassion will rule and hope, love, and joy has replace everything else.
Yes!
Peace can happen if we let it. I believe it. Do you?

#Review: Artistic Executive Desk Pad Organizer #shopletreviews
It seems eons ago but I used to work for a major home care agency in St. Louis, Missouri. I worked with three other ladies in the medical records department at their home office in Chesterfield, Missouri. Our actual office for the department was about the size of my living room. Organization was key.
To say I was not organized is a lie, my desk was always in perfect order when I left work with everything in its place. Office supplies had their place and easily accessible.
Now, years later, things still have their place on my desk and to receive an Executive Desk Pad Organizer from the company Artistic, via shoplet.com, well, that just made me happy.
I really think this desk pad is very nice compared to others I have seen. Check this out:
*Semi-glossed, black soft leather that looks sleek on my desk
*Cushioned side panels to hold papers or the new calendar I will be getting soon
*It has an anti-skid backing which is nice. I hate working on a surface and things go sliding off.
*Five storage compartments with a closing lid keep all the odds and ends of my desk nice and neat
*Easily cleanable! That is a win since dust and dirt often come in from the windows.
Look how nice that looks on my desk. Believe me, when I worked for the home care agency I had nothing like this! It would have been nice to have then but I am certainly glad to have it now!
Two thumbs up! Thanks Shoplet and Artistic.

Let's Dance to 60's & 70's Music...#MondaysMusicMovesMe
I swear to you lately it seems if you blink the days just move by in a flash. Here it is already Monday again and it is November as well. Seriously, where did this year go?
Well, as it is Monday, that means music with the Monday's Music train crew hosted by Xmas Dolly and co-hosted by Stacy, Callie, Cathy, and Becca. I am apparently on hold over for another week as Cathy takes another break.
Let me see what I have up my musical sleeves this week.
First up: 1960's
Discovered by Johnny Cash and signed to his record label they got their chance to make wonderful country music together. Ironically, they are not siblings! This group I have been listening to for years.
This was one of their first hits.
Next:
Originally written in 1964 this song by this duo flopped and caused them to break up. However, it became a quite famous song New Years of 1966 and the came back together and created much more music for the masses to enjoy. This video version was a redo in 2009 when they came together to sing it once again.
Let's move on to the 1970's...
This country singer penned 9 verses of which only 6 made it on the record album. The song was about her life living and growing up in the country. It is one of her most well known and loved hits. The song created a movie about the singer later in the 1980's.
Finally:
During the 1970's having a CB was a must have for all car enthusiast. I remember even chatting up some truck driver at the ripe old age of 8 or something...it was also the age of major truck convoys.
The supposed truck driver in this song was fictitious but the song spurred on a TV show of which I also saw.
Make sure you link up your music and I will be by to see you. ~Naila Moon
