Wordless Wed....sort of. May 15, 2012

Today Tamirisc and I went on the new light rail line for Denver. When we do stuff like that it always includes some sort of photo shoot.

Part of the rail line goes by Elitch Gardens which at one time was owned by 6 Flags.
I took this photo for my friends who like to play this game on Facebook! *grins*

Not a bad photo overall.

The exact history of ELITCH GARDENS, was that it was opned by the Elitch family and until 1992 was located on 38th Ave and York Street.

During the summer, some of the most famous actors from Hollywood and Broadway would come to preform at Elitches; people such as Raymond Burr, David MacCullam (Ducky from NCIS) and John Raitt, among others would come to elitches.

It was bought out by SIX FLAGS Corp in 1992 and moved downtown. SIX FLAGS Sold it 2 years ago and the Elitch Family got it back.

So there is the history of one of the most unique amusement parks in the U.S.

The old wooden roller coasters are the best to ride on. I hate these metal ones with all their twist and twines.
