Monday's Music Moves Me 2016

Welcome back to another round of Monday's Music Moves Me. I hope you all are okay wherever you are in the world. It has finally decided to turn cold here in good ole Missouri. I am still hanging out with you for this week and all. I am moving as of this coming Saturday to Arizona. Huge change, right? As soon as I get settled again, I will be back co-hosting with my favorite musical gals, Stacy and Colette and our hostess, Xmas Dolly.

So, to kick things off here, I have made a new logo for 2016 (up above). Do you like it? Hate it? Let me know.
Also, this week is my birthday, not to toot my own horn but, I kinda really like my birthday and tend to get the shaft. So, celebrate with me on the 12th, will ya?

Let's dance now. This week was chosen by our Spotlight Dancer and former 4M's gal, Cathy Kennedy. She wants to do covers sung on/by American Idol, Great Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent, or the Voice. This is a bit challenging for me but I think I've got this.

First up: Cover of "Set Fire To the Rain" by Adele

Next up: Cover of "Problem" by Ariana Grande

Finally: Cover of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" by Simon and Garfunkel

BONUS: This is not a cover per se but originally sung in La Miserables, "I Dreamed A Dream." Hearing her sing this again makes me laugh and cry as the first time I heard her.

Happy musical day to you! ~Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me...Goodbye 2015 #MondaysMusicMovesMe #NewYear2016

Hello my friends. Here we are the last Monday in 2015. It seems like it just flew by like that! *snaps fingers* So, many tunes have we played and danced too...amazing.  Yet, we have one more to share before 2015 is a faded memory and we end up with a freebie week. Wow!

So, let's get on dancing shoes on and groove out. Shall we?

First up: This first song is about looking to the future but more importantly, looking from where we have come. It has been a tough year this year for many around the world but we have the technology and know-how to make it a great world for the dreamers of the future if we want to.

Next: This group's song was more of a political statement when it first came out. However, it tests time today as our world still needs to evolve. "Nothing changes on New Year's Day" is a powerful statement but like the song I posted before. We have to want change!

Finally: Happy New Year everyone. Enjoy all that we are given, even for the little things.

Christmas Holiday Music on Monday's Music Moves Me brought to you by Santa!

Hey, it is Monday and it is time to spin the tunes once again on Monday's Music Moves Me. We are everything holiday music right now. So, put on your jingle bells, a ugly Christmas sweater, and a Santa hat, then hit the dance floor.

I am ready to rock around the Christmas tree with you. This week, Santa is in the Spotlight and ready to jiggle like a bowl full of cherries. Here we go.........

First up: Ole Blues Eyes welcomes Santa in to town!

Next up:These guys rocked the rooftop off for Santa!

Finally: This one Santa is rocking the house himself! PS> This one is for you Dave Moody aka Music Dude!

LOOK BONUS!!!!
Christmas Day falls on Friday. Jesus being born into the world is the reason for Christmas. It is a time to celebrate even when life seems bleak. This week is the fourth week of Advent and the theme is PEACE. Let us all strive for it and celebrate. (note: he speaks for 2 minutes prior to the music but his words are beautiful too.)

Merry Christmas Everyone! Your Loyal Elf, Naila Moon

#StarWars #TheForceAwakens...In theaters!

Unless you are not a fan of Star Wars or been living under a rock, you would know that Star Wars is out in theaters. There will be no spoilers here and I would prefer there not be anyway as I have not seen the movie. Oh yes, I will be getting my Jedi self on soon but right now, I cannot.

Until then, I have some stuff to share with you. Check this out!

This awesome sampler box lets you try 12 different flavors of hot cocoa without buying 12 different boxes. I loved having so many new flavors to choose from and found several that I really enjoyed that I would never have thought that I would like.  While they were all awesome I loved dark chocolate of the Midnight Cocoa and the hint of strawberry in the Strawberry Charleston Chew the most. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to try them and look forward to snuggling up on the couch and enjoying a cup of Hot Cocoa wit my sweetheart as the weather gets colder.
