Hello my fabulous musical people and hello to the rest of the world too!
I am back from vacation. Did I ever actually leave? That is up for debate, but none-the-less, I am at least back in full swing to the blogsphere and ready to rock out for Monday's Music.

Since I am back in a new frame of mind, with new bloggy look for the month,  new week and new month approaching (YEAH, SPRING). I am completly ready for this weeks theme which is...FREEBIE!

First up: Did you ever wonder who the people were behind the songs?

Next up: This song has been a long time favorite. It is nice to see the real singer and his expressions as he sings.

Let's keep this going shall we? How about this one? I remember singing this song and the way it made me feel as it does even today.

Finally: This song has no video per se to it. Simply close your eyes and drink it this song. It is new to me and fantastic! I think it may become my anthem. :) Let's enjoy the newness.

Gorgeous Thankfulness All Rolled Up...with some popcorn on the side! 3/13/14

Today is a gorgeous day, the wind is blowing enough that I can see the limbs moving in the breeze. It makes me happy to see the beauty that Mother Nature provides.

I know it has been a harsh winter for so many too, but looking at it practically, the Earth is taking care of itself through the frozen water.  Look what we will eventually have as Spring approaches...budding trees, gorgeous flowers, green, lushes grass and flip flops!

Ok, maybe not flip flops...I was just seeing if you were paying attention!

All in all, I do love the seasonal changes. It is like our life really. We go through so many stages year by year, day by day, and minute by minute. I am grateful for it because even on those day that I feel like it is just blah, I can revel in the fact that it will get better and most importantly, it does. What a beautiful life if we just can look at it differently sometimes.

Monday's Music Moves Me: The British Invasion 3/10/14

What a fun time we get to have today for Mondays Music Moves Me...the British Invasion!
However, before we get to that, I want to welcome back Stacy from her long hiatus. Welcome back!

Our Spotlight Dancer is...Patrick Weaseman.

Their has been some amazing music come from our friends across the way and I truly love a lot of the music.

First up: I have always said I was born too late as I missed the whole flower power and all that. Yeah, I think I would have been a hippie that handed out flowers to everyone. Anyway, this song by the Zombies was produced the year I was born!

Next: In 2012, there was a live concert on TV for Sandy Relief. Tamirisc and I watched in its entirety. The WHO played on forever and everyone ate it up. Here is the group in 2012 and back in their hey day!

Next up: This group I am not as familiar with but I do know some of their music. I am including them here because...well, check out their dance moves. You gotta love it!

I am going with this one because I love the beat of it. The music is funky and it is simply great.

There is so much great music that I could go on and on but I am going to stop with...yes, a Beatles one. I wonder why I might like this song? Although in truth, I used to hate it! Can you imagine?

Thankful Thursday...Waiting! 3/6/14

Yesterday began the Lenten season for many people around the world.  I do follow in this traditional partaking.

Like Advent it is a time of waiting and preparing. This time we are preparing for yet another promise, the promise of the afterlife...the resurrection!

This waiting is sometimes difficult but wasn't advent too? Some of us prepare with self-sacrifice, others with prayer, some of us nothing at all, but we still wait. 

The waiting and waiting and waiting...it is nerve wracking almost. Right?

However, I am grateful for it! By waiting, I am taught patience in other things that flow in and out of my life. I am taught that by waiting often the good will be at the end even if I have to wade through the bad to get there.

Wow, what a revelation!

As I have mentioned to you before, my husband had a heart attack in 2007 before I had met him. He was lucky to have survived. He has had to take heart medicine ever since and take good care of his heart so as not to have another attack.

As part of taking care, we have always eaten foods recommended to be heart healthy and have followed a heart healthy diet. These can be found through the American Heart Association and the Mayo Clinic. Although we did get away from it awhile, resuming exercise is included, even if that means a short walk.

Did you watch the Oscars? I did briefly...yawn...was bored with it...then looked for some inspiration for this post elsewhere. Last week our musical selections were all about inspiration. I thought this week that I would carry on that theme even though it is technically a "freebie week.

As I mentioned last week, I am inspired by many types of music. I don't know if you know or not but I often pin music to my Pinterest board. I thought I would pull some of those songs for this weeks post of inspiration as well as a couple of new.


First up: This is not so much singers as is just the whole piece and video is inspiring. I just found this last week!

Next: This gal I have found to be amazingly inspiring since another blogger here introduced me to her.

Let see...I think I have posted this song before but it is well worth the repeat. The main verse is good to hear especially when you get in the muck of things.

I want to include this song posted originally from another blogger because love can be inspiring. This is a beautiful sentiment.

Finally, even though I was bored with the Oscars, I am not always bored with the music. This was an inspiring piece from the past. It still gives me cold chills!
