Monday's Music Moves Me...Hi Ya All #MondaysMusicMovesMe #Branson #CountryMusic

Hi Ya all from Branson. Did you have a nice weekend? I enjoyed time with my family and yesterday one of my cousins came in. I have not seen her in 3 years! My Mom comes in to town on Tuesday, I have not seen her since Thanksgiving, and I get to see another cousin, two Uncles, and two Aunts next weekend. I am one happy camper right now.

So, it is Monday and that means music! This week our co-hostess of the most-ess (LOL), Stacy has decided we need to "country" up the place. Well, I can do that for sure! I mean seriously, I live in Branson which lately has been called the number 2 country capital right next to Nashville.

I got my boot-scootin' boots on and ready to hit the dance floor with Stacy along with our awesome host, Xmas Dolly and my other co-host, the always fabulous, Callie! Let's go!

First up: I got some boot scootin' to do with this fine duo.

Next up: This girl just never quits with the hits since she became an all-star from her club days.

Moving on: This gal has been a favorite of mine before she got into acting and even now after the acting. She also just happens to be Kelly Clarkson's Mother-in-law! (WARNING: Possible triggers and may not want to have children in room)

Next: Lately, I have been thinking about this singer and the songs he sung. He was all about country and living the life.

Finally: As a nod to the folks here in Branson, This company of singers known as the Baldnobbers, has been performing here for 56 years now. My grandparents used to go to their shows and loved them. They were one of the first groups here to establish Branson which had been called, "Little Nashville".  I am saying howdy ya all and have a good week!

#MondaysMusicMovesMe...Trains!

Hi ya all! Have ya missed me...all 4 of you,
Seriously, I have been missing my music on Mondays but I have been hanging out with a one year old and 4 year old for a couple of weeks.

I am still out and about away from Colorado but I am aiming to get home soon! I thought since I was on a bit of a lull...it is almost 3 AM here...I thought I would hop on the musical train and enjoy the show. Don't forget this musical trip is conducted by Xmas Dolly and her co-conductors, Stacy, Callie, Becca, and Cathy! Whoot!

It just so happens I hit a week that is an odd theme but workable. This week is all about trains! So, I am digging deep on this one and as always things are up for interpretation...right? All aboard!

First up...
This song was a fictional train but became a quite popular song for the artist. The song has been done and re-done by many people including his own wife, June.

Next:
I had to pick this song for a couple of reason. First of all, he is named after one of the cars of the train. It is a name he took on and it stuck with him. His songs are often about the railroad in some form.
Secondly, I loved him sitting around with other country folk and just belting out a tune. This is something I have seen first hand in the "country" and lends itself to good times and special-ness.

I give you Box Car Willie!

Moving on...
This next song is unknown to me from this singer. It speaks of sweet innocence of children when the children in the song ask the singer, "Daddy What's A Train?"
Singer John Denver gives the answers within the song.

There are many songs about riding the rails of the railroad and taking trains. It is almost all gone and something of just shipping items across country. However, for many it was a lifestyle and the trains connected us from one state to another. We should all remember as they do in music.

I would be amiss if I did not include this song but mainly because I am a huge fan.

Have a great week! ~Naila Moon

BONUS WAIT...I used to sing this song as a young kid and often sang it to other kids.

Mondays Music Moves Me...7/22/13

Hello one and all. Welcome back to Monday and another issue of Mondays Music or what we call, The 4M's.  As always it is hosted by Xmas Dolly and the train crew of Cathy, Callie and Stacy.

Speaking of Stacy...she will be taking a hiatus for a short time after this week. She has got to move and well, if you have ever moved, you know that can be a hassle.  Anyway, we will miss you until you come back.

Our Spotlight Dancer this week is: Mike of Mike's Place. Congrats!

Spotlight Dancers

As this is a freebie week, you get to listen to my picks and I will come and check out yours.
Although I am not generally one to listen to country, I am in that frame of mind. So, let's go!

First up: I am dedicating this one to Stacy.

Next up: This next one is a bit dark but I love how she varies her work in music.

Next: This next performer my children's Uncle used to drive for. Their Great-Grandmother also worked for him.

And this one: Their Uncle also drove for this duo.

Finally: This one is long but fun and a great way to end this edition of 4M's this week.
