Kite Flying #atozchallenge

I had lots of kites when I was kid. Some where store bought but most of them were made. We had tiny ones as large ones. With four of us kids believe me, we went through a ton of them.
I found a cool tutorial on how to make your own homemade kites. Check this out. I'll wait.

My parents at one point, owned three acres of land where there was nothing but blue skies and long fields. We could take off and let those things sore high without any issue of getting caught in wires. 

Of course my brothers and I had competitions to see who could get theirs up the highest. Most times we just managed to get our kite string tangled up and the kites came crashing down.

I think it is sad that kite flying is not big anymore. It, like so many other things, has been taken over by electronic games and indoor stuff. Sad,sad,sad! 

Right now as Spring has finally decided to show itself would be a great time to go kite flying.
Hmm...maybe I just will do that soon.
