Day 7-My family

My parents on their wedding day

It just so happens that I come from a rather large family. I can't say we are the size of the Dugger Family but still, larger than the average 2.5 kids. The extended family is just as large.

The one thing I love about my family is that we are so diverse. We have several different religions in the family including: Methodist, Southern Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, Mormon, Traditional Catholic, Radical Catholic, Paganism, Agnostic, and at one point Judaism. If that is not enough, we also have very differing opinions about politics.

Needless to say, it would be quite a lively discussion if we brought it up during a family get together. The fact of the matter is, we don't. If anything we agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Cousins, Grandparents, one of my brothers and Me circa 1989

My family is a strong knit family who has gone through so much in the last couple of years.  I can tell you that it has been enough to make anyone cringe. However, it is our strength and the love we have for one another that gets us through even the most trying times. We will always have each others back no matter what the circumstances.

I am the person I am today because of my family. Through thick and thin I would not want to be without them.  I am truly grateful for them.

My art piece today:

How do you interpret this painting of mine? Tell me in comments.

Peace...
