Where did my weekend go? Seriously, Monday already?
Monday's Music Moves me hosted by Xmas Dolly, Stacy of Stacy Uncorked, Cathy of Curious Cathy, Callie of Jamerican Spice and me!
The Spotlight Dancer this week is...my hubby, Tamirisc from Chronicles of the Man Cave!
Did you watch the Oscars? I did briefly...yawn...was bored with it...then looked for some inspiration for this post elsewhere. Last week our musical selections were all about inspiration. I thought this week that I would carry on that theme even though it is technically a "freebie week.
As I mentioned last week, I am inspired by many types of music. I don't know if you know or not but I often pin music to my Pinterest board. I thought I would pull some of those songs for this weeks post of inspiration as well as a couple of new.
First up: This is not so much singers as is just the whole piece and video is inspiring. I just found this last week!
Next: This gal I have found to be amazingly inspiring since another blogger here introduced me to her.
Let see...I think I have posted this song before but it is well worth the repeat. The main verse is good to hear especially when you get in the muck of things.
I want to include this song posted originally from another blogger because love can be inspiring. This is a beautiful sentiment.
Finally, even though I was bored with the Oscars, I am not always bored with the music. This was an inspiring piece from the past. It still gives me cold chills!

9. Have I recently mentioned my daughter is pregnant with my 2nd grand-baby? No? Hmmm....
10. Surprised you with that one, didn't I?
Bonus thought:I am amazed at how quickly my 10 thoughts get poured out on to here. I suppose I would do 20 thoughts but that would just be ridiculous. Right?!
Extra-bonus thought: If you would like to join me with your thoughts, post them, grab The Thinker (soon I will have the button up for you) and come back to tell me you did. I will come visit. You know I will. So, what are your thoughts today?
Hello everyone and welcome back to my 10 Thoughts Tuesday. This week is my Spring thoughts addition. lol
It has been incredibly nice outside. It is wonderful to be out but guess where I am? Yep, inside trying to breathe.
I have been having the worse asthma breathing problems the last 3 days. My chest hurts because of the deep breathing in and out, not to mention the slight headaches.
Today has been a particularly pointed day as my Grandma passed away 1 year ago today. It seems not real that much time has already passed. Where did it go?
I miss her so much. What I would give just to hear her laugh or share candy orange slices with me.
Time goes on though doesn't it?!
Well, as Easter is just coming up this week, my Mom is preparing her services for the week. That means work for me and cash! lol
I have mentioned I am her secretary of sorts right? She would be so lost without me!
Yeah, right...illusions of grandeur right here. *points of self*
I think I should have gone down to visit my Grandparents grave today and put flowers on it. Hmm...maybe I should do that soon. I dunno.
Peace everyone....Naila Moon
BONUS THOUGHTS:
Have you been following my A-Z blogs here or my photo A-Z?
Why not? LOL
Check out the photo blog one out on Thursday for "E". The photo is adorable I think.
No, it is not my granddaughter either.
Also, I just started on a site called "My Fitness Pal". If you follow my getting healthy journey, then you want to certainly sign up for that site. Amazing!
Welcome to another addition of 10 thoughts Tuesday. Want to join in? Sure you can. All I ask is you simply link back to me so I can come check out your thoughts today.
I am listening to Pandora Radio. It is all '80s music for me right now. Keeps me going since I am doing stuff for my mom.
Speaking of which. She won a $500 gift card to a local craft store and shared some of it with me! Oh yes, I was in heaven.
I spent it on scrapbook stuff. I now have paper galore! Whee....
Did you happen to see my photography blog yesterday? My hair...oh, my...
What you really couldn't tell was that she french braided my hair. That is pretty cute and Tamirisc like it.
Our fundraiser did not go so well on Saturday. I was truly disappointed. However, we must move forward and keep trying to raise funds. The walk is in May so we still have plenty of time.
Sheesh...I just relized I have taken hours to write my thoughts.
I better hurry.
Ok, I am done. Just got finished watching Biggest Loser. I have to go to bed early tonight because I have to get up early to walk/train for the Relay. The friend I am going with gets up at 4:30 to go running by 6AM. She is nuts! ;)
The daughter and Grand-daughter trying on hats at Garden Ridge.
Welcome to another addition of 10 thoughts Tuesday. Today would be the 1st Day of Spring 2012 edition! Whoooo.....
Today was gorgeous outside. It did not rain a drop today and the clouds were simply gorgeous. I should have gone and played in a pond or something.
Instead, I went shopping with my daughter and grand-daughter. We bought flip flops for the daughter. After all, it is flip flop season...always!
I did get a massage today. A real massage. Oh, I was in heaven. I have needed one like in oh...four years! The best thing, it was free!
Came home just before 7PM to watch the Biggest Loser while eating leftover corn beef and cabbage. Um....maybe not the greatest idea in the book.
My family and I are gearing up to hold a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's, Relay For Life. If you would like to donate on my behalf, I would so appreciate it.
Our fundraiser will include massages, Zumba (lead by the Zumba Queen), tarot reads for entertainment purposes and trivia. We hope it does well because right now we have a goal of $1200 to raise before April 1st.
Lofty goal but I think we can accomplish anything if we go for it.
I am getting tired...drifting...drifting...splashes water on face...drifting...
So, what did you do for the 1st day of Spring? Did you buy flip flops too? What kind or color if you did?
Welcome back to my 10 Thoughts Tuesday. It is beautiful today (again). I am just happier.
Unbelievable that Spring is here and it is the middle of March. Where has the time gone already? Oh and St. Patrick's day upon us. Whew!
For the first time in my entire life (if you can actually believe it), I am going out to have some fun on St. Patrick's Day. The hubster, kids and I are meeting up with a friend to have a good time. I have not seen my friend in like 4 years. He likes karoke...groans...but it should be fun none-the-less.
So, I just saw that apparently besides celebrating the green we should also be celebrating the blue. The blue planet that is Uranus. *chuckles* According to Ellen it was discovered today. *chuckles*
I know, I know...grow up Naila Moon! If she can laugh at it, I can too. Admit it, you were laughing too!
Have you seen the new Minions trailer. Oh my gosh, talk about laughing! Just in case you didn't see it, here it is!
Ah yes, moving on to more of my green thoughts. I am not sure what exactly makes them green today. Is it because they are purely random thoughts with no hint of alcohol or something else? *laughs*
Sheesh...that was really random for sure. I suppose I am just in a great mood today. How can I not be with all this sunshine, flowers peeking out and the "green" grass showing.
I was just thinking, why am I inside when it is so nice out today? Hmmm...maybe it is because I have no gas in my car to go anywhere. Who can afford gas anyway.
Well, I am done for this week. Get outta here...go have some fun. You know, I will! Have a good week ya all.
1. Hey everybody, welcome back to another addition of 10 thoughts Tuesday. Glad you are here. How is everyone feeling this week?
2. Before I get too far ahead of myself I wanted to welcome another new follower. He calls himself the King of Queenz. He is a stay at home Dad of a bunch 'o girls...such the name. He is also new to Blogger. Go over there and follow him will ya? Tell him I sent ya! lol
3. As always, I appreciate all the followers I have had for a while too. You all are special to me and I would not be here without you. Thanks so much!
4. So, this week (and last two weeks) I have had massive back spasms going on. It has been just awful!! Today is the best I have felt literally in days and able to move.
5. I don't know about you but I think that ground hog lied back in February. It has been absolutely beautiful weather here.
6. We do however live in tornado alley so you could be blown away at any second. Today has been VERY windy but I will take that any day over snow.
7. I am sure most kids (and teachers) in this area feel a bit jipped not having a snow day. I am real sorry about that. (hear the sarcasm?)
8. I shaved off Tamirisc's hair today. I mean he is one bald dude right now. I didn't want to do it because I love running my fingers through his hair. (ummm...is that tmi?) Anyway, he said he was doing (again) to support our nephew through his treatment for leukemia.
9. Speaking of which, we attended an event called St. Baldrick's. My friend, Debra's, (who I have mentioned before here) son Evan, honored our nephew and raised $415 to have his head shaved. Her son is only 7 years old. We all just think it is awesome! Click on the link if you would like to check out my nephew's progress.
10. Well, here I am already at the end. I seem to have so much to say tonight. Ah, well, dinner does call. I am having chicken. What are you or did you have for dinner? Tell me.
1. I have not done 10 thoughts Tuesday in a long time. Warning they come very random. 2. For the life of me, I can't remember who inspired me today to start blogging 10 thoughts again. sigh... 3. Sheesh...it has been 3 hours since I started to blog this. Just as I was going to start blogging my daughter called and wanted me to take her to the ER again! 4. We spent 2 hours in the ER waiting room and she never was seen. We came home instead. 5. I have been having massive and I do mean MASSIVE back spasms for days not. It is miserable. 6. You would think that docs could do something to make them go away other that giving you pain meds. Seriously, it does not make them go away! 7. Heating pad and Tylenol are my best friends right now. 8. I missed the Biggest Loser tonight. I am going to have to watch it on the net. 9. Life in this little burg of mine has been quite chaotic. I really need to run away...or a vacation. 10. Well, there you have it. My 1st 10 thoughts Tuesday in a long time. Hang out with me next time and tell me what's on your mind.
1. I used to do 10 Thoughts a while back but got bored with it. I thought I would bring it back as a linky. Want to link up? 2. For those who link up I will pick and feature your blog for the following week. 3. Just came back from having lunch with my friend, Trish. She paid! Whoot! 4. I will miss her when I move. 5. Speaking of moving, it looks like my condo has been hit with a tornado. Ugh! 6. I will be SOOOOO glad when I get moved. When I originally moved here it was only two suit cases. What the heck happened? 7. Oh yeah, I got married and gained all of his stuff. lol 8. Ran out of black ink the other day. I just got some new and I am back in business. 9. What that actually translates in to is NOW I have to actually do the papers for class. sigh.... 10. Fat Tuesday has arrived. Get your partying on and enjoy the day because Ash Wednesday is around the corner. *throws some beads and stuff your way*
"You like me, you really like me!" ~Sally Fields --------------------------------------- Quite a while back I was having a conversation with someone I used to work with. We were having a discussion about what people really mean when they say things or better yet how we interpret the things people say.
I have to admit, I do not always interpret things the way people mean them or even saying them. After all being 95% deaf, that will happen. Sometimes this can cause serious laughter or much frustration! Anyway, I wondered at the time, as I do now, is this what happens when we talk to one another? How many times have we said something or wrote something and it was taken out of context?
It is not so unusual for the things people say or write to also be quoted over and over that the original meaning has been lost or distorted. Have you ever had that happen to you? You know what I mean?
1. Hello my friend and fellow followers. I reserved my thoughts until today (Wed.) I will explain as I go along here. I can say this, I am glad I did because there are a lot of happenings today.
2. The main reason I waited until today to grace you with my thoughts *grins* is because today is the last day for my aunt to have chemo. It is a celebration for her today and as many of you have been following my thoughts about her, I wanted to share the celebration with you too! If you have not seen the video Tamirisc and I made, check it out below.
3. I also thought you would like to see a photo taken of her ringing that bell. (Note this is not my photo since I could not be there.)
4. Sooooo for other things happening...summer college from hell continued on in to this week. I don't know if I told you or not but the paper I had written for Baseball History was not accepted by the professor. He told me that I had to revamp it and the kicker being that it had to be in by tomorrow because grades are due. Could I send it via e-mail? Oh nooooooo! It had to be sent to his house (again) and of course this time I had to overnight it. That meant more money out of my pocket! Gah!!!! All this for an elective credit.
5. Rush starts next Monday which means all the new freshmen and their parents will be hitting the book store, not to mention all the returning students. (Did I tell you our store serves 3 colleges?)
That is not too bad really because I like staying busy. What is kinda bad this go around is it seems they have hired some complete morons to work with those of us that have been here for a while. I will be amazed if they make it through the first day of rush, more/less 2 weeks of it.
6. Today I found a couple of web sites which excited me. These web sites were for those of us that actually like getting good mail and not all the junk that floods our mailboxes. I do include bills in with the junk. (hee hee) What is exciting to me too is getting to use my new pens and meeting new people! Here are the sites if you want to join in. Oh My Darling Pen Pals& World Post Pen Pals
7. As if that was not cool enough, I then came across a gal who was having a prize give-a-way. Of all the things she was giving away it happened to be postcards!!! Here is her link: NYT Post card give away
I am adding her button too.
8.Lately, here at Condo Lane we have been having some amazing skies here in the evening. I wanted to share this one with you as it looked like the sky was on fire. This was from last night.
See what I mean? I am looking out tonight and it is gorgeous tonight too.
9. Good grief, I just forgot what I was going to write for my thought #9! Oh well, on to #10!
10. Tamirisc and I are considering a new "baby" for the family. She should be arriving in about a week or so. Stay tuned because we are sure to post some pictures of her. We are "adopting" her from the neighbor below us who is leaving and wants her to live with nice people. ;)
