Song-Suasion...3/28/15 #music

It is Saturday Song-suasion time. I am hanging out with my blogger pal, Cathy who hosts this shin-dig. Go by and tell her hello.

Today I thought I would dig around in my music Pinterest board to see what popped out at me. As it turns out two songs did but one stood out over the other.

I suppose today's song someone out there in the Blogsphere just needs to hear today.
So, sit back, relax and have  great day!

Song-suasion: Spring's Blue Skies

I am back on an absolutely gorgeous Saturday to join my musical bud, Cathy for song-suasion.
I love finding new music or simply enjoying my old favorites. Either way, music is where I find inspiration, calmness, and plain old joy.

Today I want to celebrate the lovely blue sky we are having today.  Enjoy the music and stop by Cathy's blog to say hello. ~Naila Moon

Song-suasion:Irish Eyes

Hello my friends. Today is Pi Day, not that means much to me but I thought I would mention it. (Sadly), I never was much one for math but no matter, I will be plussed (see what I did there) by it anyway just for today.

Also today, many people are out celebrating early the wearing of the green today. I was going to go to our annual St. Patrick's Day Parade that I have missed every year since I moved here, but in keeping with tradition, I am missing it again. At this writing, it starts in 45 minutes but is 1 hour from my home. sigh...,

So, since I am joining my musical buddy, Cathy K. today for Song-suasion, I thought I would do a battle between those wonderful folks who have sung the music of Ireland.  The song I am choosing is. "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling." Tell me in comments who you think does it best.

Have a great day and eat some green pi! ~Naila Moon

Song-suasion 2/28/15

Here it is another Saturday. I am joining one of my musical buds, Cathy, from curiousasacathy.com for another day of musical bliss. Go by to see her because she is sharing a singer that I introduced last week. She will knock your socks off!

Now, for my song for today places this singer right in the middle of a Summer concert. Since it has been so cold lately this works for me. Enjoy! ~Naila Moon

Song-suasion...2/21/15

Here it is another Saturday and it is snowing again. I am not complaining by far as we have had it mild compared to other states.
I am joining one of my musical buds, Cathy, from curiousasacathy.com for another day of musical bliss.

So, let's see what I have for you.

I was thinking about time today. It is crazy how quickly  it passes. Here we are in the Lenten season already and not too long ago it was just Christmas season. People have said it seems to go faster when you are older. I am beginning to think those people are right! Ah well...

So, my song for you today is about time. Enjoy and see you tomorrow! ~Naila Moon

Song-suasion...2/14/15 Who sings it best and Valentine's Day

Here it is another Saturday and none other than Valentine's Day too. I am joining one of my musical buds, Cathy, from curiousasacathy.com for another day of musical bliss.

Now usually I post just one song but today, I will be posting several of the same song plus at the end I would be ad missed not to post a V-day song. So, be fair warned. So, here we go.

I know that many of us are probably sick of hearing the song, "Let It Go" but in all seriousness, there have been some pretty cool renditions which I want to share.

This first one, I shared not long ago for Monday's Music Moves Me. It "spoke" volumes to me!

Next one I just recently heard, it to is an amazing rendition. I love the tribal sound in this version.

How about this version from Jimmy Fallon's tonight show.

Last one from Disney itself.

So, what is your favorite? Tell me in comments.

Finally, as promised a Valentine's Day song...
Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Saturday! ~Naila Moon

Late, late, LATE for SONG-SUASION

Oh my gosh my friends, I have slept the day away. I have seriously not felt well in days and the only thing I seem to be able to do is sleep. I finally got out of the house yesterday and here today...ugh.

Anyway, that has caused me to not post Song-suasion until now, which is the brain-child of my friend, Cathy.
So, let's do this, ok? This is the first song that came to mind this evening and a wonderful one at that.

Make sure to go over to Cathy's and say hello.
Until tommorow...

Song-Suasion...I love #music!

I am once again joining up with my pal, Cathy from curiousasacathy.com who loves music too! Go check out her blog when you can. Today I am offering a band I have always loved, I am sure they are familiar to you as well.

This band played from 1959-1972 until the lead singer broke out on his own. The band was originally know as Tommy Fogerty and the Blue Velvets and then the Golliwogs. Believe it or not, they never had a #1 hit but came very close.

The band played for Woodstock at 3AM in the morning following the band The Grateful Dead but hated their performance so much they never wanted mention of it anywhere.

Band Members:
John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook, and Doug Clifford

What is this group you ask?

Rock on! ~Naila Moon

Saturday Song-Suasion.. .Peter Hollens #music

I am back on an absolutely gorgeous Saturday to join my musical bud, Cathy for song-suasion.
I love finding new music or simply enjoying my old favorites. Either way, music is where I find inspiration, calmness, and plain old joy.

Today I am going to share some joy.

I recently found this singer over the holidays and I absolutely love his sound and his self-made videos. He sings with some of the top singers around for a sound that is out of this world! This particular song he made for his baby boy.

Have fun and enjoy the music! ~Naila Moon

Sayin' It Saturday and Song-suasion...Grateful

Choosing to have a grateful heart makes me not only a better person but a happier one at that. I am grateful for what I have.

That thought process puts it all in perspective. Doesn't it? ~Naila Moon

Please check out my friend, Cathy for her song-suasion post today.

Sign It Saturday and Song-suasion

Good afternoon everyone. I suppose in actuality it is almost evening, so, good evening.

This is the day I want to post my ongoing quest to learn sign language but I have been busy today. Since that has been the case today, I thought I might combine a couple of post.

My friend, and co-host  Cathy, from Mondays Music, has a musical meme on Saturdays called, Song-suasion.  I thought I would combine some sign language with music. I hope that is ok with you as it is with me. Ha!

As I have said before, sign language can be and is a beautiful language. I found these songs that I think work perfect for today.

This first one is simply a review lesson of the alphabet.

This next one is just gorgeous!

This last piece is a musical piece I love but to have it in sign is even more brilliant!
