Mondays Music...Cover Songs...June 3, 2013

Hello my musically inclined Monday people! We are back in...oh my gosh, June...to rock out with Xmas Dolly and the music train crew. This month I am co-hosting and excited to get started.

Oh and if that is not enough, guess who is dancing in the Spotlight this week? My hubby!
Let's rock this joint shall we?

Interesting selections as always. Sinatra singing Bad bad Leroy Brown, was just wrong. Sorry Frank, this was not one of your better covers, or for that matter not even a fair version of a song. Otis Redding, doing Satisfaction was interesting. A soulful sound, but still very close to the Stones original version.

I, too, think that Bad Bad Leroy Brown was a bad choice for "ol blue eyes" to choose to sing. Loved your other selections. Especially the Beatles Twist and Shout.

Well I just knew I wasn't going to like Frank Sinatra's version because who could redo that particular song??? BUT I LIKE IT!! LOL Fun choices, I liked them all. :)

ha hahahahaha That's right Frankie did do this song! That's a good find! Oh my gosh, I haven't heard this one by the Beatles in like forever! Yes, they did that one pretty great. Hahahaha I never knew Otis R. redid the Stones song. Not bad. YOU ROCK GIRL! And congrats on pulling a double shot of hubby & you being Honorary Co-Conductor! NOW LET'S ROCK THIS JOINT!

As much as I loved Michael Jackson, Come Together sounded better when the Beatles did it. I like the remake of Leroy Brown after Frank, and the Rolling Stones version of Satisfaction. I guess I like what I'm used to, such as the Beatles singing Twist and Shout. This has been educational because I hadn't heard these songs by some of these artists.

I quite liked these I agree with Joyce about the amount of Beatles covers Michael Jackson did a good job. :-)

a very interesting set of covers. Love Twist and Shout - or course. Frank should definitely stick to swing and the Otis one wasn't too bad at all.
