Monday's Music Moves Me...Dance Music! #MondaysMusicMovesMe

Hey all, we are back with another Monday's Music Moves Me for you all to rock out with and have a good time. Now, usually, this would be a freebie week but hey, we like to shake things up once in awhile, so this week we have another Spotlight Dancer.  Freebie will be next week!

Congrats to Mike Golich who has chosen the theme, Dance Music. Now, I am sure many of you think all music is dance music and certainly, it could be. So, take this one in stride and as always, you decide.

First up: The Queen of the dance music, Whitney Houston.

Next up: This gal is new to me but I love her voice and this song that of course, makes me want to dance.

Finally, I have always loved Will Smith's musical varieties. This one though is a favorite and one that will get any alien hopping.

BONUS #1: A compilation of dance music over time.

BONUS #2: There is no words to this music but these folks can dance!

Until next time...Naila Moon

Global Broadcast: "He Named Me Malala" This Coming Monday, Feb. 29th! (Giveaway attached) #withMalala @NatGeoChannel @21C

You might have heard about Malala, a girl who survived being shot by the Taliban for wanting to get an education. You probably have even heard of the book that she wrote or the movie about her. You might even know that she is a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Now comes her story to television. The global broadcast premier will be on the National Geographic channel this coming Monday, Feb. 29th. at 8PM EST/7PMCST.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:

HE NAMED ME MALALA is an intimate portrait of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai, who was targeted by the Taliban and severely wounded by a gunshot when returning home on her school bus in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. The then 15-year-old was singled out, along with her father, for advocating for girls’ education, and the attack on her sparked an outcry from supporters around the world. She miraculously survived and is now a leading campaigner for girls’ education globally as co-founder of the Malala Fund.

Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting for Superman) shows us how Malala, her father Zia and her family are committed to fighting for education for all girls worldwide. The film gives us an inside glimpse into this extraordinary young girl’s life – from her close relationship with her father who inspired her love for education, to her impassioned speeches at the UN, to her everyday life with her parents and brothers.

Join me and others as we watch this brave young lady stand up for the education of girls.
Also, if you are on Twitter, please tweet and retweet the following through Monday:

Let's Talk Drinking Cups! #Review of #Scandinovia 8oz Unbreakable 4pc Premium Plastic Tumbler Set

I decided recently that I need to drink more water, eight glasses a day is my goal. I certainly do not need a fancy glass to do that but it seems nice to have something that may look fancy.

Not too long ago, I received a pack of four glasses to review from Scandinovia. They are manufactured in Japan. I really love these cups.

First of all, they came in a real sturdy box and individually wrapped. That right there told me the company cares about their product.

When I unwrapped them the colors of each glass was just bright and fun to look at.

The cups are a full 8 oz and I love to drink orange juice out of them and a now water. They are sturdy and do not break. If I had these around my young grand-kids, they would no doubt hold up to their handling. Although, I have not cleaned them in a dishwasher, they still clean up nice.

These also stack up without sticking to each other which saves me cabinet space!
These are worth the purchase!

#Review: RFID-Blocking Passport Wallet and Neck Pouch #LemurGear

I have traveled a lot, mostly all over the U.S., but also a few countries outside of the U.S.  In 2000, I traveled to Italy and I had to have a passport to do so. I also had to carry another form of ID. I had one of these neck pouch things but it wasn't the greatest.

I was really happy to received this pouch. First of all, it has the RFID-blocking so I can be assured my cards will not be scanned by someone being unscrupulous. The pouch has two zippers on each side for plenty of ease of access. I could easily put cards or money in there.

The front has a see through window to hold my state ID or license. This really would have been helpful with all the traveling I have done. Security constantly wants to see that I am really me.

The main section holds passports or other papers. It is held together via Velcro. When I was in Italy the flap just laid over and did not stay down. This pouch is sturdy and secure.

The best thing I like about this is the string to put on my neck is adjustable. So, if I get hot or want to secure my papers, I can simply adjust and not have to worry.

Great item to have if you travel at all. I am going to have to get another because my Mother took mine!

Disclosure: I purchased this item at a deeply discounted rate. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me...Let's Motown!

Hey all, Monday's Music has arrived again. It is unreal that we are heading toward the end of the month. Don't forget though, it is leap year so, we have an extra Monday for February.

So, this week we are working with a theme chosen by our Spotlight Dancer, Linda Cadose. Yes, the same Linda who writes books. She has been spotlighting Motown singers and this is the theme she wants to do. So, let me see what I have for you.

First up: I want to start out with the smooth singer of Marvin Gaye. Don't you just love him?!

Next: I am going to go with the Jackson 5 and one of my favorites from when they were all together.

Finally, I am going to go with one of my favorite groups and singer from the era. Diana Ross and the Supremes.

BONUS: Diana Ross minus the Supremes!

Have a good week everyone! ~Naila Moon New linky:

#Review and #Giveaway: Renuzit Sensitive Scents #Renuzit #SocialInsider

It may sound funny but ever since I lost my hearing, my other senses are heightened. This is very true for my sense of smell. I absolutely can smell things others cannot. Sometimes things smell so putrid that I want to...well, you know.

So, needless to say, I like things that smell good. I want my house and car to smell good too but since my nose is sensitive, I do not want overpowering scents either.  Imagine my delight when I received this Renuzit box full of delightful goodies. This stuff is made just for people like me!

The first thing I opened was the adjustable cone for the bathroom. This is one place that everyone needs a good smelling scent. Am I right? I received the Pure Water Blossom and Cucumber.

It has that nice floral smell but the cucumber helps to make it not so overpowering for a great combination of scent.

The next item in the box was a universal plug in with scented oil in Pure Ocean Breeze. Oh yes, I like it! This is probably one of my favorite scents of all. I put this in my kitchen which is right next to my sliding door. When guest come to the house they will get this scent which is nice and inviting. What is great about these too is that the universally fit other oil warming units.

The last item received was the simple bottle of trigger spray. This came in Pure White Pear and Lavender. I was not sure about this particular scent but sprayed a bit in the air and on my Mom's bedding. It immediately took away any lingering bad smells in the air and has stayed in the air. I do already know that a little bit goes a long way. This of course, is nice as it will last much longer and be worth the money to spend.

I loved all of these items and I hope you do too. They are worth the purchase in my mind. Which you like a change to try one out? Well, you can you know.

Two of my readers have a chance to win one coupon for any one Renuzit Sensitive Scents. Enter today in the Giveaway Tools below and give it a go. Make sure to read the terms and conditions. Good luck!

Disclosure: I received all of the products listed above for the purposes for review. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

Marvel Studios continued its unprecedented success in 2015 with the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” At the time of release, the film recorded the second biggest opening weekend of all time with a $191.3 million box office. It has also been the #1 release in every country where it has opened and has grossed over $1.4 billion in global box office. Monday's Music Moves Me...Let's Rock!

OMGSH! It is Monday and it is almost noon here! I have not even posted for Monday's Music Moves Me. Wow, great co-host here. Ah well.

You know the rest of my co-hearts right? There is Xmas Dolly who is the brain-child and host of this shin dig. Then you have the best co-hostess a gal could ask for, Stacy and Colette. We rock and roll every Monday. Let's get at this!

If memory serves me right, this week is a freebie week which means, I get to subject you  play what I would like for you to hear.

First up: This is a band that I first heard back in the later 90's when I was a volunteer youth minister. (Yes, I really was.) The teens at that time loved hearing the main vocalist voice and I have to admit, I liked too. So, here is a little Dave Matthews Band.

Next:  I may have posted this singer before but I love his smooth and yet, powerful voice. His song and message at the Grammy's a couple of years ago blew me away. Here is the power behind the messages, John Legend.

Finally: Hmm...
I am not real sure how I wanted to end up the music for today. So, I chose one of my favorite '80s bands. How about a little RUSH!

Make sure you link up and rock on! ~Naila Moon

Review: Pilot Pens from #Shoplet #shopletreviews

I've said it before and I will say it again, I adore office supplies. Getting new pens makes me especially giddy, why, I don't know. I suppose I just love the colors and especially the feel of them as I write.

I used to work in an office where pens were gold. I swear some of us coveted them so bad we almost had chains on them to not get them stolen. Ok, so I am exaggerating a bit but not much.

I was really excited about receiving a whole box of Pilot pens in my mailbox. Can you tell by the look on my face up above? Serious happiness right there! I received 10 different pens in all via Shoplet.com  So, let me tell you about them.

This pen is called the Dr. Grip Frosted Pen in purple. It is so new that even Shoplet does not have it on its website. The pen has a nice soft grip for writing smoothly, It felt good in my hand. The ink in it is black and writes almost as smoothly as a roller ball pen.

This next group of pens is called the Acroball Pure White Advanced Ink pens. I was a little confused by the name of these pens because when I started to write with them, I expected to have the ink be white ink. I was disappointed in that. What it really is the color of the pen itself. The ink is actually black. However, the pen writes smooth and has a nice little grip spot in the three colors shown above.

This next set of pens is called the Acroball Colors Advanced pens. These boast to be hybrid ink, which honestly, I am not sure what that is. It also says right on the package that the ink is vivid. The package came with three colors: red, blue, and black. I chose to try out the red first and as you can see, the color shows up real nice. The smoothness of writing is very much like a roller ball pen except these click off and on. I liked these a lot!

The last set of pens I received is called the Acroball Pro Advanced Ink pens. This was also three different colors of ink pens and again, hybrid ink. Apparently, the ink is concocted in such way that the ink flows smoothly on to whatever surface you're writing on. I would have to agree, it does. I liked the color of the blue pen I tried out. It seems to be vibrant too which I think is really nice for document work. It did not smear anymore than the others pens. Again, this set is for me.

I am one happy gals and will have some great pens for personal and business use. Now, I just need to hide them from others so I don't lose them.

Thanks, Shoplet and Pilot!

Disclosure: I received all of the items mentioned above in exchange for my open and honest opinion. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

8 Virtual Valentine's I Am Giving Out This Year...2016 Edition #Valentine'sDay

As I may have mentioned in the past, I am not a big Valentine's Day kind of gal. I think if you love someone, you should show them all year but that is just me. Anyway, last year I gave out 8 virtual Valentine's and it is now time for the 2016 edition. Ready? They are in no particular order.

1. The first Valentine I have to give out is the homeless guy I saw up at McD's today. In fact, for all the homeless people. You might think that I pass by and do not care. This is simply not true. The fact is, I do care and I care a lot. It is just that I am broke and almost where you are. You deserve to be loved and cared for like anyone else. This is all I have to give right now...and a cheeseburger.

2. I have been thinking a lot about a trip I took to Rome in 2000. There I encountered someone I want to give the next Valentine to. Her name is nameless as the many who work the streets in this country and around the world. So, nameless prostitute, this one is for you. Why, you ask? Well, it is because like the homeless dude above, you deserve to be loved. You deserve to have real love, not like the stuff you dish out to men who do not care. It has always bugged me to see you and my eyes automatically turned downward. I actually wished I had spoken to you then and told you that you were loved. So, this is for you.

Whew...some heavy Valentine giving out there. Huh?  Hang in there with me.

3. If it is possible to give a Valentine to a thing, I want to give one to my ever present camera. I received you for Christmas and you have been by my side ever since. I know sometimes I let your battery go down and I am truly sorry for that. You constantly see things through your lens that I may not ever get to see again. I am lucky and happy to have you. Of course, I took a crummy photo of you but that could not be helped this time. Nice selfie by the way.

4. This next Valentine goes out to the Red Rock Mountains, the Rocky Mountains, The Garden of the Gods, and the Swiss Alps. Oh...my...gosh...how beautiful you are. I am so fortunate to have seen all of you and best yet, get to see Red Rocks everyday! Your love for me is immeasurable and you keep shining all the years even in monsoons, rain storms, and snow. Thank you, here is my heart in return.

5. I gave this next one out last year but seriously, I got to give one again. This goes to the "elixir of life", Pepsi. You are the omg, I have to get up before noon, love of my life. I get a headache just thinking about not having you. Seriously, you are the best!  However, a little note: that NFL halftime show needed some tweaking this year. It is still ok though, because I love you.

6. Following along those lines, I am giving Peyton Manning a virtual Valentine. You are the man! Whatever that really means, I am not sure. However, you and the rest of the team made this Broncos fan one happy camper. If you decide to retire this year, I would not blame you. The team would miss you but we understand too. I raise my Pepsi to you as I hand you this Valentine.

7. I would be amiss if I did not give this next Valentine to a sweet gal who have given me clothes since I arrived here in Sedona. I literally came with 4 small suitcases, all I owned. I had very few clothes in those cases either. She is  hooking me up slowly. I am grateful and she deserves to have this from me. I hope you do not mind sharing Debbie with another gal Linda who gave me some great socks. Don't you adore these socks I just got from her?

8. Finally, this last but certainly not least, Valentine goes to my good friend and "boss" Julie. We have worked together 3 or 4 years now and for someone I have never met in real life, I adore her.
She has kept me with work but more importantly, she has been a dear friend and for that, I can never thank her enough.

BONUS VALENTINES:
Like last year, I wish to give out a couple of extra Valentines that deserve a high five.
First, my Mom. I am grateful she gave me life...that is the best thing ever. However, she has also taken me in this year when I have been at my lowest point. She is just listening and working to help me gain good footing again. She deserves all the love I can possibly muster! Thanks, Mother. I love you so much!

For my children, children-in-laws, and grand-children, you make me happy. I miss being with you and enjoying your day to day lives. I hope you know how much I really love you!

All my love, Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me #Music

Hey, ya all! I am coming off of a high from a huge win by my Denver Broncos. The whole team just rocked it out! Speaking of which, it is Monday and time to rock out with the Monday's Music Moves Me gals. You know us, hosted by Xmas Dolly and co-hosted by Callie, Stacy, and myself.

This week is a theme week and out Spotlight dancer, Melissa, has chose (appropriately) one Super Bowl related song and the rest, country music. Well, ok then, let's do this!

”Photobucket”border=”0

I think I am going to not go with a half time song, but with one that only tops Lady Gaga's performance for the night. I give you, Whitney Houston!

Ok, now we move on to country songs.

First up: This song is one that keeps popping in my head for the moment. His pop-rock sound is what he is known for and one of the first country songs I ever fell in love with. Go figure. Garth Brooks.

Next: This woman took the country scene by storm and then years later, took to movies, theater and TV with her comedy show named after herself. She has co-hosted a morning news show and won awards for her talent. Reba McEntire sings here with her daughter-in-law.

Finally: I am going to go way back for this last one. This woman who self taught herself guitar, has a career that spans 60 years. Her life was made into a  book and subsequently, a movie. She is a sweetheart and original member of the Grand Ole Opry. Loretta Lynn
