Not having books in my life would be like having an oozing and open wound. I was introduced to books from the time I was a baby and did not know what the written word was.
When I open a book, no matter what the genre is, I am instantly drawn into a different world. These worlds do indeed share hope, dream and give a myriad of possibilities.

I have thus far read about kings and princesses (real and not so real), comics, and wizards. I have read about the trees, the bugs and Mother Earth. I have read about mustangs, airplanes and travel into the future.
I have read about so many people, places, and things.
As a child, I was told that "books are your friends" and to take care of the books I had. I have never forgotten this. I covet my books.
Oh, what would I do without books!

I agree, books are the most wonderful things, they're really like magic. Nice to find such a passionate post about them!

I love books too and have shelves full of them. :) Running out of space though! Wish I had a bigger house, so I could dedicate one room as a library. Thanks for the voicemail; reply has been sent.

My house is full of books, and even though I don't have enough shelves, I can't help but buy a new one if it looks interesting! I read to my children from the moment they were born, and they both have a passion for books and writing that I am very proud of.
Visiting from A to Z
I agree! What would we do without books? I wish every child had an adult read to them when they were small.
I like the image--heaven as a library...perhaps in a garden. Perfection. :-) Enjoy the A to Z.
Books are indeed wonderful, whole worlds to explore from the comfort of your cosy place. They've got me through bad times by giving me places to visit and friends a page away.
And your next post is cookies. Reading a book while nibbling a cookie, maybe in a garden - simple pleasures ;) happy blog-hopping
