Stepping up on my soap box

*steps on my soap box*

Ok, so I do not normally ever rant here or there or anywhere. Wait, I sound like Dr. Suess.

Anyway, I was trying to comment on others photos and such over on my photo blog page.  I kept running in to the word verification thingy. Now, I know that people get spammed or they don't like comments or you name reason here---> but I have got to tell you, they are a pain in the royal patoot!

Those things slow you down when you are attempting to get to as many people as possible in the linky.  Seriously, I try to get to everyone if the linky is not too big. However, say you have 30 people and half of them have the word verification...well....

Please for the love of Mike, can we turn the dang things off? Go to monitoring if you want to. Please...can we?

I AGREE, totally! Sometimes I just decide not to comment. Granted my blog is not extremely popular, but I get only 1 or 2 spams per month. They don't go on the comment page and I am able to delete them.

Totally agree! They don't even make that much difference! Just get a spam blocker or what not...

The ones that bug me the most are the ones that don't even appear until AFTER you've hit "send". You've already started to click through to the next blog when you catch a glimpse that your page has reloaded with the CAPCHA Code and your comment is "poof" gone and you have to re-type. So annoying!

Yes, I hate Catcha. I think it is getting harder to read on Blogger too. That is why I like WordPress now. I have an anti-Spam plugin and it is very good at catching spam without being a bother to any readers :)
