Our Spotlight Dancer is none other than my hubby Tamirisc from Chronicles of the Man Cave.
Put on your dancing shoes Honey and please don't step on my feet. Hee hee!
This week we have a theme which is Lots of Brass & All That Jazz! I have my jazz hands up and ready to go.
First up from the movie Chicago, I bring you the song, "All That Jazz":
Next up: I have always favored jazz and had the sound a lot in my home. Every Sunday we listened to Smooth Jazz on the radio or often known as 'the quiet storm'. This piece is new to me but oh, I love it!
Moving on into the classic jazz artist, one of the CD's I loved to play over and over was Dizzy Gillespie. Here he is with another classic Charlie Parker. Check out this sound!
The big band sound was a favorite of my Dad's. As it turns out, the father-in-law I never knew, was a big band director and often played the music of the time. You could not get by without, Count Baise.
Finally to round up this musical day of Jazz. How about a more contemporary piece with brass sounds and the musical stylings of Phil Collins.

I prefer the softer side of jazz, as in your second pick. When you hop over to my place you'll be met with a similar match. Phil Collins...now that's an interesting twist with today's theme, but ooooh yeah, I like it! Have a tunetastic week, Michelle!
Great minds think alike. I had the same first song. Love the rest of your pics also. Real jazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy! Likin' it! :)
LOVING Phil Collins! All your choices are outstanding, as usual! :) Have a great week, Naila! :)
Don’t Know Why but Fly Me To The Moon Just The Way You Are with a Jazz Improvisation and Cello Wars
Nice choices, I haven't heard Sussudio in 300 years used to love it :-)
Have a jazztastic week :-)
Hi Naila! Loved those Jazz Hands. I also loved your picks but was surprised to see Phil Collins in the line up? Is that Jazz? I guess it could be..."Stu-stu-sudio" Ha, ha, ha. Have a great week!
I am so glad I did not choose All that Jazz. I had a feeeling that everyone would be choosing that.
I loved your selections especially Charlie Parker with Dizzy Gilespi. Great selection.
My dad had a quarter after World War 2 and played in several local Big Bands and as a professional musician for people like Dan Rowan and Dick Martin and Dinah Shore.
Great selections. Especially the Count.
LOVE that swing too!
that's so neat -- I guess I never really thought about Sussidio being jazzy, but when you hear it without words, it is.
Le Jazz Hot, Hon! Loving the jazzy tones for today especially since it is so hot here at home.
I'm really enjoying the picks today. Phil Collins is awesome. I'm glad you're a jazz lover, too.
