Mondays Music Moves Me:Memorial Day

Today is a freebie day which seems rather appropriate since it is also Memorial Day here in the U.S.

I wish to thank all of the men and women who died to defend our country. You are not forgotten by me.

I dedicate todays blog to PFC Andrew J. Habsierger. He died in Iraq defending our country. He was only 22 years old and he was my former student.

Losing former students is tough. I've lost a few but in stupid ways rather than gallant ones. Taps is quite fitting. Blessings.

I am so sorry about your former student. It must make the day especially hard for you. Love the one Some Gave All - just brilliantly captures the day I think.
But there will always be nothing more hauntingly sad and beautiful than Taps.
