Monday's Music Moves Me...Freebie Week and Announcement
We are headed to December folks! It is incredibly hard to believe that is true, but it is. This is the last Monday in November and it is music time. This week we are cruising on to the dance floor with it being a freebie week. So, that means I get to spin what tunes I would like to share with you.
Next month, it will be all about Christmas/holiday music so stay tuned. Note: I will most likely be playing music for you every day so, check back and see what the music of the day is. I may also have a story or two to share as well.
One last thing before I get to the music. As of January 1st, I am taking a hiatus for awhile from Monday's music. I have had a very tough November and moving right into December it is not much better. I simply cannot do all of you justice as a co-host for this meme. That does not mean I am going away for good...Xmas Dolly will not let me! In fact, you will probably still see the music from me, just not the co-host part.
SO, let me see what I have for you. I thought I would share some new to me music that might be new to you.
First up: A rather cheezy song but nothin' wrong with that!
Next: I have actually heard and have seen this video before but it so lovely that it is worth the share. The singer had to learn how to dance to make the video.
Finally: I love Pentatonix but have not heard this one before.
See ya tomorrow! ~Naila Moon

7 People I Would Invite To Thanksgiving Dinner #Thanksgiving
Many people are sitting down for Thanksgiving Dinner today. I have thought about who I would ask to come to dinner besides my family or friends. Assuming the people are still alive today, this is whom I would invite in no particular order.
1. Ellen DeGeneres-Come on, she would top my list because she is one funny gal. I am sure she would crack some jokes or something. Maybe she would bring me a new car or some awesome cash. I could use both right now. I suppose I would have to make sure I have some vegan dishes, though.
2. President Barack Obama-I would love to pick his brain about worldly stuff, not politics! I would just like to know what he really thinks about when the cameras are not in his face. I would also like to ask him questions that have been pondering my brain and need some answers. I would make sure that I did not serve the pardoned turkey for dinner. He gets to say the blessing.
3. Mark Zuckerberg-I would like to give him some ideas of how to run Facebook. I am sure he would look at me like I have four heads. I would also tell him face to face what everybody has been thinking he has screwed up. Then probably start a food fight with him. I am sure he would give me a thumbs up for that one.
4. Sean Connery-Simply because I think he is one sexy dude! Oh, and just to hear him talk. He gets to sit right next to me or me on his lap. Whatever.
5. Jack Dorsey (CEO of Twitter)-I would like for him to come and sit next to Zuckerberg. We would speak only in hashtags which I find quite humorous. He would tweet our entire dinner so that everyone knows that Ellen DeGeneres just spilt gravy in Sean Connery's lap, took a picture for Instagram and tweeted it. He would probably throw pumpkin pie as he is tweeting.
6. Mrs. Santa Claus-She never gets any credit for anything and deserves to get some. I mean geez, she fattens up the big guy all year long just so he can leave her for 24 hours. Not to mention she has to clean up after the elves all the time. She deserves the day off. She is sure to bring the pumpkin pie and keep the President entertained with her pleasantries.
7. Jimmy Fallon-I want him to come because he is sure to help Zuckerberg start the food fight. He probably will stuff the drumsticks in his pocket to take home to eat later. He might even play homage to Charlie Chaplin with them before he does. No doubt he will bring kid's musical instruments and want to sing Christmas carols with Mrs. Claus. He will get to sit at the head of the table next to Ellen as no doubt they both will keep us entertained. He will interview everyone and show the interview next night on his show.
I am bound to have a great dinner! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! ~Naila Moon

#Review of Asana Fitness Muscle Rolling Stick #asanafitness
To me, pain is an everyday thing. Yes, I take meds for pain but it is not always helpful or even the solution. Recently, I was asked to review the Asana Fitness Muscle Rolling Stick, Can you say, heaven?
Seriously, this stick is helpful with relief of pain. Best yet, you do not need someone to rub your back, neck, or legs for you. Oh, no, you can use the stick by yourself to help get some pain relief. I tried using it on my back thinking there was absolutely no way. Well, I could not only use it by myself but got a little workout for my arms at the same time. ha!
See these ridges? Each one of those little ball like things turns and work themselves into your muscles as the do. The harder you push against your skin, the more pressure you will receive. It is like getting a massage with deep pressure tissue work. I can tell you that I generally needed someone to push pretty hard to get out muscle tension for me. With the Asana rolling stick, it was almost too much pressure when my husband used it on me.
Than handles are great two because they allow for firm gripping of the stick but yet little bitty dots on the handle give your hands and fingers a little massage too. Win!
All, in all, I am happy with this product and since others in my family like it too, I may just have to purchase a few to give as gifts. You will want to as well. That is a guarantee from me.
Disclosure: I received this stick for free in exchange for my open and honest opinion. The views here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

New Genre Knee Brace #Review #NewGenre
I along with many people in my family, have problems with their knees. My Mom has had one surgery already and is in need of another. This is of course and issue with pain and often with walking. Can you say, ouch!
I really was excited to get the New Genre Knee Brace because I did not have any support for my knees while walking. I have some awful pain at times. This looked like it would be a winner.
As knee braces go this is not bad as knee brace in my mind but I do not find overly better than another. It did go around my leg. but it was extremely tight and not as good fitting as I would have liked. I can only guess that is because my legs are bigger around. I dare to say that it would probably not work for an overly obese person at all. However, for anyone else, probably so.
Having said that, the brace does come with adjustable velcro straps which would help with fitting. The middle has a hole which allows for the kneecap to fit and have better comfortability. I think it would be good for smaller knee injuries or ongoing support of pained knees.
Overall, not a bad product and I do recommend it.
Disclosure: I received this brace at a deeply discounted price that allowed me to receive for free in exchange for my open and honest review.

Well, here we are, Thanksgiving week in the U.S. This year has gone by way too fast and there have been many changes that have been happy and some difficult but in it all, I am always thankful for all the things the Creator gives me. Review: Culinary Couture Oven Mitts/ Cooking Gloves #culinarycoutureIt
It is almost Thanksgiving here in the U.S. and that means food and lots of it. I generally don't do the cooking. I am more of a Macy's Day Parade kind of gal than cook but, others do and food can get hot. When I have cooked, I have also been known to get burnt.
I did not want anyone else to get burnt and when I saw these gloves, I had to try them out or at least let the hubby try them out. As it turns out, we both did!
Right away I liked the fact that these Culinary Couture Cooking Gloves fit my hands. These are XL and will fit anyone's hands. That is a nice thing because who wants to be handling something hot with non-fitting gloves. The gloves are flexible too which allows me to hold different sized pots or tools for cooking. See those little dots. Those are to help with grip. I can be assured that I will have a firm hold on those pots and pans too.
Even though these gloves have a fancy name they are anything but "fancy". These gloves hold up to the heat. According to the company the gloves will work up to 650 degrees. Now, that is hot! I am hear to tell you that we have used them already to hold hot boiling pans off the stove and out of the oven too. The flexibility allows for grilling and all other sorts of cooking opportunities.
Check this out:
With Thanksgiving upon us and all the holiday events in December that requires food, you will want these.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Disclosure: I received these gloves with a discounted code so I could get the free in exchange for my open and honest opinion. The views expressed here are 100% my own or that of my family and may not reflect your opinions. ~Naila Moon

Omega-3 Supreme 1400mg Fish Oil with +75% Omega-3 #Review #lifefood
I received a bottle of this Omega-3 Supreme 1400mg Fish Oil to review. I wanted it because my husband has heart issues and is supposed to take fish oil as a daily regiment.
The fish oil comes in capsules that are easy to swallow and yellow in color. My husband had no problems with swallowing them or absorbing them in his stomach. The really awesome thing was no fish burp after taste. As someone who also has taken fish oil in the past, that is a very nice thing!
This is what the company says with the benefits of taking Omega-3 Supreme:
- Improves Heart Health
- Balances Cholesterol Levels
- Facilitates in the Building and Maintenance of Joints and Bones
- Maintains Healthy Brain Function
- Supports Mood
- Helps Improve Vision Functions
- Aids in Growth, Repair, and Development of Muscles and Tissue

Monday's Music Moves Me
Hello, all. First off an apology for not getting around to ya all. I have been nursing a cold and my life was turned topsy-turvy the first of the month. A Little bit of craziness but all is working out ok. In case you are wondering, my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson moved in with us until the end of the holidays.
It has been an adjustment having a small apartment, four adults and a whirlwind of a toddler, BUT I love it too! *Wink*
Anyway, on to our favorite musical day of the week, Monday's Music Moves Me. I co-host this shindig along with host, Callie, Stacy and our musical hostess, Xmas Dolly.
This week we have the theme of "Big Bands Era". I am not sure we have done that theme before even though, I have posted some of those songs.
It turns out that my father-in-law, whom I never met, was a big band musician. Somewhere in our house we have albums he actually cut with his bands. I dedicate this post in his memory.
First up: When I think of big bands, the first comes to mind is Glenn Miller. Note: Did you know that after Glenn Miller entered the military his plane went down and was never seen again?
Next up: Then there is Benny Goodman. In this paricular segment, the singer is Peggy Lee, whom was one of my Dad's favorite singers.
Finally: Duke Ellington will always be known as big band! This is one of my favorites!
Have a great musical week! See ya tomorrow! ~Naila Moon

Peace? Where is it? #peace #prayers
I seriously cannot fathom all these attacks on innocent people all around the world year after year.
Sometimes they are not "fanatics" but just some person that lost their damn mind.
Where is the peace?
Yes, I remember the horrors of 9-11 here and the one in Aurora, CO where I lived at one point. I remember the high school shooting at Columbine and the ones at the elementary school of Newton and the Amish school shootings. I remember the church shootings in Charleston.
Where is the peace?
I remember others shootings and killings that happen every day. I remember one of my "daughters" telling me about a shooting that happened in her own front yard. She held the victim as he died in her arms.
Where is the peace?
I remember and I hate it! I hate that other people try to make me afraid! I say, try because I refuse to be! However, I want to feel safe and that my family and even people I have never met but "know" are safe too.
Where is the peace?
I am angry! I am tired of hearing of the killings. I am tired of people hurting other people because they have gone nuts or for so-called religious reasons or because they are angry at another human or...
I don't want to feel like I cannot walk out my door to a theatre, football game, church or send my grandkids to school and us not come back.
I want us, all of us to be safe.
Where is the peace?
Every year, several times a year, I blog and put my mind to the topic of peace. I think about being in a peaceful world...I hope for it...I dream of it...I strive to live it. But is it there?
I had no intention of writing yet another post about peace and yet here I am again on the day another one happened in Paris.
I am sad now.
Where is my peace?

SHOW OFF TUESDAY! Giveaway and Review Link Up!
Happy November! Are you ready to show off those reviews and giveaways for the holidays? Link up here for free and SHOW OFF! My pal Xmas Dolly and I host this every Tuesday.
First Aid Kit Protect Life #Review #firstaidkit
Whether you live by yourself or with family members, you really need to have some sort of an emergency first aid kit. If you drive, you should have one in your car too. In my home, my daughter has a make-shift one in case she needs it for my grandson. However, it is not adequate enough.
I received this First Aid Kit and I am here to tell you, it is awesome! As it turns out, I had to use it almost within a day after receiving it. With kids in the house, I need bandaids and loads of them!
The kit includes 2 small pockets and one larger pocket, plus it has two additional spaces under those pockets. Everything has a place and fits perfectly. The first aid kit is lightweight too which I would not have expected considering all that is stuffed in here.
Just look at all of this stuff! Antiseptic cleansing wipes , Alcohol prep pad, Butterfly closure strips, Adhesive bandages of varying sizes, Gauze swab, Disposable cold compress, First aid tape, Cotton tip applicator, Abdominal pad, Disposable vinyl gloves, howler whistle, Button Compass Liquid filled ( I would have never even thought of this one), Moleskin blister relief, Emergency blanket, Glow stick, Disposable raincoat, Scissor, conforming bandage , CPR face mask , Plastic tweezer.
Like I said, seriously, this kit has everything! Personally, I think it would be great to give one to each one of my family members. I think this is the absolute best first aid kit I have ever seen. You just simply do not know when you may have an emergency and I think it is best to be prepared.
Disclosure: I received this kit at a deeply discounted price. The views expressed here are 100% my own and may differ from yours. ~Naila Moon

Monday's Music Moves Me...Freebie Week! #MondaysMusicMovesMe
Welcome back to the best musical day of the week , Monday's Music Moves Me. It is hosted by the musical conductor of Xmas Dolly and co-hosted by the music train crew of, Stacy, Calli, and myself.
Let's go!
This week is freebie week which tends to be a musical education day so, let's see what I have for you and you have for me.
First up:
I sometimes get on these, what I call tangents, where I get fixated on a certain thing. Yesterday, it was on American Idol. I was wanting to see (hear) the music from 2002 with Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini. That lead me to people who did not win, like Justin. However, here they are together!
Keeping in this still frame of mine, one of my favorites on the earlier shows was Clay Aiken who lost to the "Big Teddy Bear" Reuben. This song, in my mind, made him the best singer of the lot.
Finally:
This David who I could only refer to as Mr. Bedroom Eyes, lost out to the other David, Mr. Rock & Roll. I loved both of them in very different ways.

Quiet Morning in 10 Lines
I am up at an unusual hour for me.
It is a quiet moment and I like it.
There is no babbling toddler, for he is asleep.
There is also no husband underfoot, for he too is asleep.
No noise is coming from a television that I often do not pay attention to.
It is just quiet.
I am relaxed in this moment and thinking of going back to sleep.
Should I?
Perhaps.
But then my quiet solitude may go away.

Zoe Hopkins 2 Balance Bracelet Silicon Beaded - Blue Bracelet & White Bracelet #ZoeHopkins
I received two of the Zoe Hopkins bracelets. However, before I could even start to wear it, the white one I received broke. The blue one I was able to put on my wrist but had to take it off within minutes as it was squeezing my wrist. These bracelets are certainly not for someone with a larger wrist. In fact, although my daughter-in-law put it on, she was not overly impressed with the fit either. The smile is because I was joking with her.
They are nice costume jewelry and the idea of reminding to be balanced is nice but that is just about it.I would actually recommend these given to a young teen or young child.
Here is what the company has to say:
- LIFE IS A BALANCE of holding on and letting go. Zoe Hopkins produces Balance Bracelet Silicon Beaded wristbands reminding you of balance in your life.
- An elegant set of White Bracelet and Blue Bracelet with Beautiful Velvet Pouch is created to serve as a REMINDER TO THE WEARER to strive for a BALANCED LIFE - staying HUMBLE during life's peaks and HOPEFUL during its lows. The bracelet retells you that it is normal to have highs and lows in life and one must steadfast keep moving on.
- ZOE HOPKINS' Balance bracelet silicon beaded deliberately DO NOT contain any WATER and/or MUD from MOUNT EVEREST or DEAD SEA and any other mountain or sea unlike lokai bracelet, whatsoever. Zoe Hopkins Balance Bracelets are made of finest silicon matter, polished and enhanced through ZHBQP Standards, protected by soft and elegant velvet pouch to give you a quality product you deserve.
- As humans, WE CREATE OUR OWN BALANCE. This resonates with our motto: "DREAM. HOPE. BELIEVE". The balance aspect of a bracelet is symbolic only, since NO bracelet with or without water and mud can bring balance in life.
- PERFECT size for TEENAGE BOYS & YOUNG GIRLS. The black beads and white beads glide on smoothly and measure 19cm. Medium Size available. It measures 7 1/2" (19cm). Measurement represents circumference.

Peak Performer Foldable Backpack #peakperformerbackpack
My husband always uses backpacks for different things so, I thought it would be great to get him this Peak Performer Backpack to use.
As you can see the backpack itself folds into its own little pouch which makes it easy to put into a glove department or even a carry-on suitcase.
The backpack is light and can carry lighter things like small books or non-heavy groceries, which my husband is happy about.
This is a great thing to have and maybe just get more than one!
