Monday's Music 12/2/13

Wow, we are in December and beginning our last month before the end of the year. Unreal!
Since, it is the first Monday of the month, that means Monday's Music Moves Me hosted by the self-proclaimed Christmas Queen herself, Xmas Dolly. Her musical elves along the journey are Stacy, Colette, Cathy and me!

This month we change things up and decorate the house to reflect the season. We even have a shiny button for our dancing elf of the week. It is all about Christmas/holiday music all month long. If you want to do the usual freebie weeks in between that is fine too. Otherwise, put on your jingle bells and let's go!

This week's spotlight elf is Danielle from Royalegacy. Make sure to stop by and say hello.

My first selection is to give a nod to my friends and those celebrating Hanukkah until December 5th.
I know you have probably seen this song before from me but I love these guys!

Here is another group that are new to me. Amazing!

Moving on...another holiday celebration in December is that of Kwanzaa. I never knew about this holiday until my Mother was a teacher in the inner city. It too is a beautiful time of remembrance and celebrating.

Now, moving into Yule. I also have friends and family who are Pagan. Yule is all about the light and rebirth. It too has special meaning to lots of people in December.

Finally of course, I move into Christmas. I have heard a few new tunes this year and want to share them with you. (You know in the coming weeks there will be more to come.)

First the beautiful voice of Barbra Streisand:

Let's round-up this week's selections with a fun one from these two crooners.

Make sure you link up. I will be by soon.

Barbara Sreistand's Christmas Lullaby is new-to-me. It's beautiful. I can't believe I haven't heard it before now. I love those old classic sounds from Martin & Sinatra - great choice, my friend! You pulled out all the stops in today's jammed packed holiday fun. Have yourself a very Merry Little Christmas!

very cool song choices. I have to give a big thanks for including the Yule celebration. Usually Pagan is such a bad word it's not often that we get included. Very nice of you! Yuletide greetings to you!

I'd love for you to link this up to a blog hop my friend is hosting about various Christmas traditions. The link is at my blog.

Thanks for sharing Chanukkah songs. We sometimes feel a little left out this time of year.

Love that those groups are just using their voices. sounds incredible.
My kids would definitely like a marshmallow world!! I bought the biggest bag of marshmallows today. the 3 of them go through them like crazy - always with hot chocolate. but they have also spent hours out in the snow too.
