I plead insanity...art and writing.

In an effort to stretch myself, I have decided to take on two challenging things this month. One is not too, too much of a challenge as it is writing for 30 days.  I pretty much do this anyway  but it challenges me to stay on task.  I wasn't too off kilter though because at least I am not writing a novel...yet.

The second challenge I decided to take on was creating art everyday. Yes, 30 days of art on top of my writing.  This is much more of a challenge because generally I am a fly by night artist.  This will certainly stretch me as a person but I want to do it and believe I can.

Both challenges can be found on my sidebar over there--->

So, yes, I plead insanity! However,  I feel strongly that if we do not attempt to stretch ourselves and get out of our comfort zones once in awhile, then we become stagnant. I do not care to go through life as a blob.

Having said all that, my post from this point forward, will include both things. I welcome your encouragement in comments and by all means follow me if you haven't already. I will catch up with you too.

This is my first entry for the Art A Day post.

That's a lot to take on, but it sounds like you're ready to go. Good luck with both challenges this month.

I don't want to go thru my life living like a bolb either. Congratulations on challenging yourself and good luck. Your rock/skull is awesome!

That's great to take on two challenges at once, and smart to combine them! I did NaBloPoMo last year when I had just started blogging, and it really gave me the momentum I needed to get going. Good luck!

Cool project! An art project a day might be challenging, but I would imagine it is also a way to relieve stress and really inspire yourself to embrace life. Awesome!
